  • Hey everyone - it's Friday! WoooooooooHooooooooo! :j

I'm really not doing too well at this, my first month of aiming for a number of AFDs. I've got no more to report, and it's just dawned on me that there aren't enough days left in March for me to achieve my target! :( Maybe it was a little too ambitious to aim for 20 AFDs - I've only managed 5 so far!

Please someone give me a kick up the rear - I am now going to aim for reaching 10/20 !!!

Have a good day all - and enjoy your weekends! :)

Thanks Maman, I did used to post on here a lot, but then got a load of nasty Pms telling me to booger off as I had no right at all to post because I don't drink - didn't want to upset the good vibe of the thread, so stayed away.
    Still read tho' :D;)

    Well done on the 1.5lb!

Please dont stay away, your reply to my post REALY REALLY MADE MY DAY, thank you so much, it means so much to get a bit of support, it keeps us going xxxxx

    17 AF DAYS THANKS SHAGGY
  • No more AFDs to report yet. Ended up in the pub last night, and had a bottle and a half of wine. I was quite squiffy! Managed to remember to drink a glass of water before I went to sleep, and I didn't feel as bad thing morning as I usually do.

My skin is getting rubbish again though, and I'm not drinking near what I used to drink. Does your body react worse to alcohol the older you get?

I think your body does react worse to alcohol as you get older Phoenix. Nowadays when I've been drinking, the next morning my face looks faintly bloated and blotchy. Not a good look. Never used to look like that when I was younger! A few days off the alcohol and onto the water and my skin looks much better.

The support on the 'quit smoking' thread is what helped me enormously........without I just know I'd have been smoking again.

As I said, I was so genuinely thrilled for you, I just HAD to post.

Tra la la la la la la AFD 17 for me tonight over halfway for the month

Not too bothered about not drinking, getting very used to not drinking and not missing it at all. Looks like it will be an AF weekend, let me see if it is, in fact I think it will be as will be out running in the mornings and no way do I want to feel groggy after one drink the night before. One or 2 drinks is all it take to make me feel groggy these days now I have cut down so much and I really don't like this anymore!

Must get around to changing my avatar photo. I'm just so busy at the moment with projects and deadlines.

Have a great weekend everybody. I can't find Benidorm on the telly tonight - booooo. I only watch a couple of things every week and that's one of them!!

Well done, I`m so happy for you, its great that you are not missing drinking, I have to admit that I do miss it from time to time and get so tempted sometimes.
