6 AF for me please Shaggy!

    Evening everyone,

Hope you're all ok and have had lovely weekends! Is it really Monday tomorrow? Oh pants to that!

Welcome Jobags and Thrifty - I've been here less than a week and can confirm that you are joining a lovely, friendly, supportive group!

I've started to put the money I'm saving being AF into a sealed pot! Smashing incentive for me!

Enjoy the rest of your evening folks, off to get a mug of warm milk, lovely in my tummy to help me drift off.

    Lala x

Hi all - thanks for your welcome.
I cracked - feeling pretty awful and light headed, in the end I had a bottle of Stella from the fridge, - I've had a case of them there since Christmas. I don't usually drink lager but it was better than trotting up the road for the inevitable bottle of red and it certainly took the edge off my craving.
Usually by this time on a Sunday I've finished my first bottle of wine around 4pm, crashed out for a few hours and am well down my second bottle so while not feeling uber:A I am certainly feeling virtuous, my no wine weekend has also saved me around £15.

The worst is yet to come though as my main habit is after work just picking up a bottle on the way home as I feel like I've earned it after a day ar work.
I don't feel particularly ready for a challenge yet, I'll see how I get on over the remainder of February and jump in at the start of March.
Feel like I have let myself down as I was hoping for a few weeks completely off the stuff but I'll not beat myself up about it and just work to getting my units down, I've been averaging 80-90 units a week over the last year or two, he only way is down (or up) really.
    Thanks for your warm welcomes

    :wave:Welcome jobags and thriftyfifty

You'll find that both your stories are very familiar on here. You've made that first step of deciding you're drinking more than you want and that you want to do something about it. :T Remember every single AF day counts, start from there and build on it. You'll get plenty of support here and bits of advice as to how the rest of us manage.
Really quite proud of myself today, managed a night out and wasn't an idiot !! amazing....

and have lost 9 pounds now ! woo hoo :):):):)

That's a great daisy, not many sleeps left to your holiday now!

I've had a moderate weekend and will be jumping (or rather limping) back on the wagon tomorrow. :T to everyone who managed an AF Sunday:A
  • Thanks everyone, what a lovely welcome.

I'd like to go for a challenge, 5 days. I actually got over my craving pretty quickly last night, after I got distracted by the television. This morning I feel great, my skin looks good :)

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good morning all

AF here last night :) I do feel so much better the mornings after when I haven't drunk, it really does make me wonder what makes me do it!

Anyway, last day off of work today. Am dropping Piglet off at school and then heading down to see my Mum for a couple of hours. We have plans that involve sky+'d episodes of Nurse Jackie, coffee and almond croissants!!:D

Also...some good news....Stepdaughter has an interview!!:T Its for a Waitrose in the town near her. Full time (should be interesting - she text OH to say she was shattered because her Mum made her do some cleaning!!:rotfl:). Interview not for a week or so but are keeping our fingers crossed!

    Miss P
