8 AFD for me now please. Yesterday was quite easy.

I'm not on target for 21, but I reckon that including today there are 18 days left. That's 5 where I can drink alcohol. Tonight I'm going for a meal in Central London with my OH. I'm not sure if I'll drink - probably. And Sunday Liverpool v Everton in the pub. That's going to make it hard to hit 21, but now that I've set the target, I feel really determined to make it. I guess the solution is to make today or Sunday AF, leaving me with 4 non AF days for the rest of the month to hit 21.

    Now I'm waffling. Ho hum.

  • Good morning all!

maman - Nope, cycling didn't finish me off (but my..ahem...rear end was rather sore yesterday morning!). Going to do some more miles tonight if I can. Hope you have a good time at the cinema - my SIL was talking about a cinema like that near her where they sell alcohol. She had a glass of champagne whilst watching a film!! Alright for some....:rotfl::rotfl:

Marru - home for you today - safe flight :)

Lurks - well done on the challenge!:T

Shaggy - loving the garfield picture....but my god, doesn't he have big feet!!:rotfl:

Was very odd this morning. Woke up thinking "thank god, its friday". My thoughts would then normally turn to getting a bottle of wine into the fridge for tonight. But today they didn't!:T Looking forward instead to finishing off some knitting, sharing a take-away with OH (Yes, I've saved the calories for it!:D) and watching a DVD! Yay!!!:T:T

Tomorrow is another matter. Piglet at the out-laws for the night and me and OH are doing a trip to Ikea in Bristol before going out for our Toby. THAT will be the real test for me. Will have plans in place....lemon and lime fizzy water, good book, bubble bath. Hopefully it'll get me through it!

  • Morning all ...... don't think I've posted since Monday but have been reading about how fab you're all doing!

Out of the 4 days this week (mon - thurs) I was AF on Mon and Thurs which is the most I've been AF in a week for months!! Not sure about tonight I'm kind of taking things one day at a time!

I'd like to try and be AF mon-thurs next week but as I say, taking one day at a time, we have my OH's dad staying with us at the moment and he really isn't a well man, I'm doing my absolute best for him (he can't even get dressed unaided) but its quite stressful - trying not to use that as an excuse for a drink tho!

Those of you who don't drink on a 'school night', do you find this sends you on a total bender at weekends or that you can just drink a moderate(ish) amount??

I've joined Slimming World so am hoping that cutting down on the booze (lager is my poison) will help too!

Has anyone else lost lbs from not drinking as much??

Well done on Monday and Thursday.

I find I go on a bender when it's "going down well" and that can be any day. Not having drank the day (or days) before doesn't send me on one - it's my state of mind.

Ultimately it's sober me that decides to have a drink, so no real excuses. Good shout on the one day at a time though!

    Hi Gien

    I've been a bit AWOL myself..... :o

Hey Lurks - I'd better get on the wagon too.

Went out and had a drink last night, with a meal and not too much. Just feel tired today. Might have a nana nap this afternoon!
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • An update for Shaggy, I am at 7 AFD'S so a third of the way there with just over half the month to go. It's looking tight.

Pen can you put me down for the Mon-Fri challenge. Thanks

It has certainly been easier to have afd's knowing that I have made a commitment to this challenge.
Gone are the just pop to the pub for a swift one days!
