6 for me please Shaggy!
Budgie - lovely to see you again! I'm sure you'll soon lose that weight. Mine doesn't seem to be shifting yet, despite all these AFDs, and cottage cheese for lunch, and plenty of walking. Perhaps something to do with the Christmas cake I'm still eating every night? Better than wine though, I suppose!
Weekend - thank goodness. I hope everybody has a good weekend. DD1 goes back to uni on Sunday - she's only just settled down from coming home!

Many congratulations daisychain and everyone else doing an AF Friday. I think weekends are the hardest:A
Good to see you posting Budgie, you've been much missed on the thread. It'd be good to plan another meet-up as lots of us couldn't make the October curry evening:drool: because of half-term or other commitments.

I have just found this thread. Is it too late to join in please?
For about 3 or 4 months back end of last year, I gave up drinking Monday to Thursday. I had got into the habit of drinking literally every day. I enjoyed opening a bottle of wine whilst cooking the evening meal and would end up drinking the whole bottle, and even topping the evening off with a bacardi.
My two sons would constantly nag me about my drinking, especially as it was in the home and I was alone, so I promised them I would give up in the week. Trouble was if I fancied a drink on a Wednesday instead of a Saturday they would make me feel really guilty.
So at New Year I have said I would give up drinking in the home. (considering I very rarely go out this would mean I am virtually tee-total).
However, having seen this thread, I really like the idea of deciding at the beginning of the month how many AFD's to have in that month, which would take away all the guilt if I did end up having a drink on a day I'm not supposed to.
Tonight for instance, is probably the first Friday in years that I have not had a drink, and I have missed it.I haven't had an Alcoholic drink now since NYE and was fine until tonight. Normally if I had not had a drink all week I would look forward to a drink tonight. (Friday).
Hope all that makes sense.
So if it is ok for me to join in could i please go for 22 AFD in January. I have done 7 AFD so far.0 -
