Shaggy I have managed 4 AF days so far this month. Started the month with a cold and drank medicinally. Now that all Christmas alcohol has gone from the house we have no spare cash to spend on wine so I hope to be AF from now on.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

:hello:Hi everyone hope you all well
Due to the 4 inches of snow that fell here last night i couldnt go to Zumba this morning at 9am which is such a shame as i was up and ready to go..Not!
Had friends round last night, knew i wasnt going to be an AF Fri for me but i make a couple of small changes to my usual drinking pattern. I waited til they arrived, 8pm, before i had a drink (me of old would have had at least a couple of cheeky wee drinks b4hand) and although between us we drank 2 bottles of fizz i was expecting it to be more. We had a baileys to finish with, i would have poured myself about half a pints worth but made it a small measure. No sore head this morning which is great.:j
    Bye for now

    Hi Mackeroo
Shame you couldn't make it this morning- but well done on last night! I would've been the same- a few before they arrived...... sounds like you were sensible.....
Well, Ive decided not to drink tonight either... partly cos I want to see if I can do this- get the habit out of my system, and partly cos I'm now on antibiotics as from today due to toothache :( I can drink on them, but they are less effective. It's mainly the first reason though. Hope I can get through to the end of the night without- but doing ok so far.
Well done to all AF tonight :j

No chance for a sleeping late this morning as it was DD's Saturday School day. Better go early to bed as I am pretty shattered.

    8 please Shaggy :)

  • well, I can't quite believe I'm saying this- but am on 6AF.... be rude not to make it a nice rounded week wouldn't it? The last time I had a week off the booze was probably about 20 years ago !!

Slept very well last night- a good 9 hours or so. Have still had a headache all week in the evenings but think thats the cigarettes. Don't smoke loads, about 12 a day- but think thats the reason.

Hope everybody is having a nice weekend, alcohol or no alcohol, for me this is a personal journey- having read through quite a lot of the earlier thread last night- realised I didn't just want to come across as 'gloating'. :(

On to today- off to a class at the gym with my friend- then a nice mosey around the shops together... Sundays are my favourite day of the week. Usually have a mammoth hangover to boot.. not today :):):):)

Hope everyone is well. More snow up here so thats my plans for today skunnered so it wil be another stay at home day again. Pleased to report i managed to stay AF yesterday :) so 3 AF days for me Shaggy please

As expected the bells did start to toll around 4ish, managed that but then was getting ratty when serving dinner around 7 and i tho sod it im going to pour myself a large glass of wine which i did and placed it on the table with my dinner. Didnt touch it throughout dinner and then took it into livingroom as we just watched telly last night. It sat there for half an hour, i thought i dont want this, so i promptly got up and poured it back into the bottle!! God knows what it will taste like later but i couldnt bring myself to pour it down the sink:eek:
I was pretty pleased with myself but dont want to get too carried away as i know that its very early days for me, 1 day at a time and all that!
Hope everyone has a good day,
