Morning everyone
Last night a thought popped into my head that I thought I would share with you as its quite common on here for some. I remembered a year ago I couldn't really imagine not drinking at the weekend.
Then on here we came up with the idea that a Friday and Saturday nights were nothing special - they were just a night like any other so why did we have to drink on these nights when we didn't drink on the other nights?
This thought stuck for me and from February onwards I managed it and now have many weekends when I don't drink. I remembered yesterday the mental struggle I used to have on a Friday or Saturday and now thats long gone
I think I can call myself an occasional drinker now (aside from Dec where it crept up a bit more than usual). Someone asked me if I got drunk on NYE and when I said no they replied, yeah right! No really - I had one drink and then a hot chocolate!
I suddenly realised yesterday how much my drinking had changed over the last 2 years and especially over the last 12mths - if I can do it, and move from the heavier weekend drinking then, you can too.
It might take time like it did for me, but you'll get there in the endfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I'm back after an absence of months. Had 3 days alcohol free. The OH has one of her best friends coming over today though, and friend is bringing boyfriend (who I don't like, and will bring a case of beer intending to watch Stevenage v Newcastle with me). I'll get out of it somehow! Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0

I agree- I had this thought last night !! Just because it's Friday- what's the difference? spose it's cos we get a lie in at the weekend, but usually I'm lying around feeling !!!! wasting the weekend away anyway !
