  • 5 for me please, Shaggy, thanks

Hope everybody OK - it's certainly easier this week to be AF than it was last week!! I've put on a few pounds over Christmas, which I absolutely must lose, I hate fat days.

  • Ooops, too many threads to read through tonight..... I managed 9 AF'S in December but went completely bonkers for the remaining 22 and that really makes me think :(....not good!!!! Yuk yuk yuk....

Hope you are all doing ok.

    JJ xx
  • Not AF tonight, and to be honest I need to concentrate on my giving up smoking this week. I can't do everything at once. So a bit of a compromise needed but I still have a 2 unit limit. Looking forward to next week and then the weeknight booze is going too.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

 Hi Mackeroo, nice to meet you...

The first night was hard- I'd got into such a routine of drinking EVERY night.... once you see how much better you feel tomorrow with no banging head or sicky feeling, it'll seem easier.... I hadn't had a day with no booze for about... ooh... 9 months to a year...

I'm doing Rosemary Conley, worked for me before... put on a stone of 'wine weight' in a year. But sometimes I used to miss dinner to be able to drink more...:o:o:o:o

Still only 3 days though- must remember that....and also still have the fags to give up !! one at a time hey......:rotfl:

    xx

That's very wise, both of you. I'm so glad I got my drinking under control before I started at 'fat club' (I'm doing SW).

 a big welcome to all newbies, good to hear you're off to a good start.

Another one for me tonight. Did wobble a bit when I overheard two shop assistants discussing going for a drink after work. But I didn't:p

3AF for January please Shaggy and 3 for this week's challenge thanks, Pen.

'night all (and you too YM:))

Hello. What a great thread. Can anyone join in?

I am aiming to be a cutter-downer rather than taking the pledge for life, but being honest with myself, I am firmly of the "One drink is never enough and more than one always becomes too many" persuasion. So it's abstinence for the time being.

And thus far I have managed 6 days. No white knuckles yet.

Do you want to join the January challenge?

You can have a target number of AFDs (Alcohol Free Days) or be TF (Target Free).
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
