Thank you everyone!
Thanks for all the good reading, the wise words, the inspirations and above all this thread.
I am really impressed with myself. I would have usually nipped into the local wine store today after work and bought myself a wee bottle of mid-week wine as i call it - but, i didn't.
My biggest challenge will be on Friday so here is hoping.
I bought the Zumba DVD workout for myself to keep busy and of course to lose weight. watched and attempted the first DVD last night, it was really funny and OMG, i didn't see an hour pass.
Zumba weekend here i come lol0 -

Evening everyone
Cazza - glad to hear you are having a good time at your parents. Am sure the break is doing you the world of good :T
Welcome to the thread Hugo.
Maman - yes, I'm quite glad all the christmas hoo-ha is over and done with. Trying to get back to normal as quickly as possible here!
Was talking to my Mum on the phone tonight and we were talking about losing weight etc. I said I was going alcohol free, to improve my weight and my health. She went quiet for a couple of seconds...and then said "I think thats a very good idea". Speaks volumes.
So I'm glad I've made the decision to stop drinking. I honestly wish I could do moderation (and I gave it my best shot) but I honestly can't. I have HUGE admiration for anyone that can :T- as far as I can see, its one of the hardest things in the world to master.
Anyway, enough depp thinking. Off to do some knitting :rotfl:(I think I'm getting obsessed!!:rotfl:)

1AF for January Shaggy please and 1 for the week's challenge Pen :j Whoo hoo
Chuffed with myself that tonite for the 1 time in a long time ive not had a drink and wont as there aint any in the house and im now cozy on the couch in my jammies so wont be venturing out. As is was back to work today i didnt dwell on the fact that today was my first goal of having an AF day.
Returning to work also meant a return to fat classhavent been since the middle of Nov and since then have put on a huge 10 pounds!! Yikes. Deliberately ate choccies before class and wore heavy clothes eg jeans and big jumper to get weighed tonight, next week will be wearing the lightest of clothing i can get away with. Im sure giving up on the booze a bit will also help.
Anyway have a good eve y'allIt’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -
