  • Well done Frugal.

AFD number 11 for me tonight. I might have a little tipple later when we win the cricket, but it'll most likely be after midnight!

Here was me thinking that cutting down on the alcohol would help my mind to be sharper.... and the minute I cut down I start getting my days mixed up... although I will cut myself some slack....isnt that what you are supposed to do when enjoying relaxing and stress free long holidays.....

maman: I would hate for my efforts not to be fully appreciated and recognised.... :money: a look back over the last few pages will evidence my allegiaance to my challenge at the beginning and reinforce my crediability;)... Hope you enjoy the footy is it the Man U match you are heading too? Football is a major weakness for me I feel I should have a beer in my hand when sitting watching a match....

Please accept most humble apologies dprovan. I really didn't mean to doubt your sincerity. Footy was great, nothing as lofty as ManUtd (long gone are the days when we used to beat them in their invisible silver strip;)) but 4-1 has to be good.

As a direct result of this I've found it very hard to stay AF tonight. BUT, I managed it so

    12AF please Shaggy

Well done everyone who's been AF tonight:T, it's still not too late to clock up a day or two before 2011.

Sorry to hear about OH's problems with his daughter MissP. I do remember teenage girls being very difficult. My DD1 was a nightmare in many ways but she's great now. I do hate the TMI thing though, no wonder he feels bad.

Hope your DS's problems sort themselves out too DB and may I be the first to wish you a very Happy Birthday.

    'night all.

    Morning everyone
Shaggy i would like to aim for 12 AF days in Jan please
My first challenge gulp! Im in a better place already compared to this time last month and its down to coming back on these boards and thinking about cutting down seriously not just playing at it.
Yesterday although i didnt manage to wait til 7pm before i had a glass of wine, i only had 1 wee glass and a large one, which is good for me. I think i had a better night sleep due to this, or maybe its because OH sleeping in next room due to him having heavy cold and snoring like Darth Vader!;)
    Have a good day

    Morning all

I'm going for a full monty of 31 AFDs for Jan please Shaggy

4 G&Ts last night whoops, thats the most I've had to drink in ages. Don't know what happened there? Anyway I'm ok this morning.

Last night I totted up how many days AF I'd had all year and included tonight and tomorrow night when I realised that if I drank these 2 nights I would have the same total as last Jan of 18 days

I am overwhelmingly happy to announce if I stay AF for the next 2 nights, I will have achived a humungous 333/365 AFDs for 2010 :D which is 91% of the year AF
333 AFD Vs 32 Drinking Days
Bring on 2011, for even more AFDs and a healthy and happy year

I'm posting this because I joined this thread just under 2 years ago and was drinking way way more than this and didn't really think it was a problem. As time went on I realised how much better I felt without it. It took a long time to get to this point and its only the last 12mths where this has sunk in. I just wanted to say I didn't think I'd get to this point and it was a struggle to change that weekend drinking habit but I did get to a better place and if I can do it, anyone can :D

In 2011 I'm looking forward to increasing the number of AFDs

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday December Baby!! 10 & 21 again - hope you have a lovely day.

    :bdaycake:

Thanks for your encouragement, I do feel as if the more feeble my results the less I can bee on here (groan, sorry couldn't resist.)

Miss P, so sorry to hear about your OH. It's made me feel less guilty about keeping everything to myself back as a terrible teenager - sometimes discretion is the better part of valour.

Morning Mackeroo, you really made me laugh with the Darth Vader comparison, I have my own one sometimes too!

Shaggy, I know exactly what you mean about the scales!
Please could you put me down for a target of 16 in Jan. I will do better than January 2009 when my total was 0! And I chose 16 as it was my target in Jan 2010 when I managed 19/16 days.

    Hi all,

did not manage AF day last night watched the match and had two beers whilst doing so... This is going to make my target of 7 very difficult to achieve before the 31st :o..... I am pleased that when I have had a drink I have managed to limit it to 1 or 2 instead of the usual 5-6

maman absolutely no need for an appology. I am pleased you got such a good result..... I was also pleased to see Man U drop 2 points.... Premiership hotting up nicely.

Ok plan on having two AF days today and tomorrow.

Shaggy, I will aim for a target of 14 AF days in Jan , thank you....
