Pen - count me in for the Sunday Special please. So far so good, but a little challenge will help make sure its tea tonight when I go to the kitchen....:)
All the best Cuppa. Just think, it could be 3 days AF.:j Still, you've got 2 done and even if you give in tonight, you can get another AF day tomorrow so don't worry.
Wise words Sim and I hope things are getting better for you.
Fingers crossed for everyone (and me!).
Thanks MarkMan.
Life is a lot better for me sober thanks!
I feel calmer, and can work through things with far more clarity, having now been sober for what will have been three weeks tomorrow.
Enjoy your evening,
Sim.0 -
Thanks guys, Sim wise words indeed.
I decided to go to bed, i'm so unbelievably tired and i think its that i need over drink or dinner. I've already cleaned my teeth and alcohol doesn't taste great after that.
So after a wobbly two hours i'm 3 days AF.
Thanks for your support, its this thread that did it, if i hadn't been on here, i would have given in as i wouldn't be accountable to anyone!
Anyway, my reason for being on here is to seriously cut down not to give up. My aim is to only drink in social situations or if OH is having one and i fancy one, just no more drinking on my own everynight. I used to be like that without even thinking.
Night all.
Good on ya!
Have a good kip

Hi, I just thought I should come back and let you know how I am doing. I have had 6AF days now since I started. I have a glass tonight but I have decided to give up alcohol for December. Until Christmas Eve that is. I don't know if I am being too optimistic but I did give up for Lent many years ago.
I have also lost another 1lb last week so being AF and SW together is helping me to improve my health.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hi Sim, good to hear you're still AF, how's the job going?
Hugs to everyone who's finding it tough. I know where the grumpy feelings come from but like sim said the alcohol will only give temporary relief then you'll feel even more grumpy for giving in. For cutters-down I think it's far better to enjoy planned drinking nights (and try to ensure that s*d it nights are few and far between).
:Tto all for each and every AF night acheived.
Poohbear, I'm doing SW too and I keep all my syns for planned drinking nights (and some real gravy). I'm confident that I couldn't have done it without coming on here and cutting down my alcohol consumption first. I think it's a great plan as I love food and never feel hungry. It just takes a bit of planning (maybe that's why they call it a plan:o not a diet).0 -

New job training is going very well thanks Maman. Hope you've had a relaxing weekend.
Feels great to be focused and positive again!
My financial situation is still a bit precarious, however I'm slowly regaining some semblance of control over my money
