Hiya sim, well done on 7 days sober :T0

Thanks shop!
I've spent the last two weeks beating myself up for wasting loads of money on booze / hotels / rubbish I didn't need :-/
Am now trying to learn from it and move on. It's tough, but as one of my favourite songs goes, there's no other way!
Thanks to Jo and 365 for recommending a cracking book - 'No Big Deal' by John Coats.
The guy has lived it, and he talks a lot sense
Cheers,
Sim x0 -
I must get that book, just reading one on alcoholism atm and got two more to go at but that will be my next read I think :beer:0

Good morning, all :j
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for me, please Pen
16 AFDs please, Shaggy
Took a huge, huge decision yesterday. DD2 been diagnosed with glandular fever this week, coinciding with me starting new, very well paid job. She'll be off school for at least another two weeks. I really don't want to leave her on her own every day. So, I resigned from the job . I think I've made the right decision
Back to freelancing for me. Feel a bit weird about it all today, but the decision has been made. Also, it was taking 45 mins to travel there and 45 mins to travel back, in the car, stressful
Have a good day everybody :jJan: 24/23 Feb: 21/22 March: 24/250 -

Try hard to fight it Sim. Cravings are only supposed to iast a few seconds. Trouble is they come too frequently.Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Hope you're all well.
Sat down with a cuppa instead, and phoned Moneyshop.
Five £100 cheques all due on subsequent days from next Monday over a week.
I can not believe I wasted the money I had 2 weeks back on booze, when it was meant to clear this debt.
So b loody annoyed with myself :-/
Have also paid my Rent shortfall (am up to date now - have been for 10 days) early this morning, along with my Water bill.
To'ing and fro'ing about whether or not to sell my iMac -
This would raise about £400 tops (it's getting on a bit and has a slight fault).
Really don't want to sell it, as it's one of the few things I enjoy that doesn't cost me any money, and isn't killing me..
Also could do with it, as I've found some home based work (starting next Monday) which I could do on my Mac.
Could do it on my old PC, but the PC is not reliable (it's ancient) so..
Really want to raise some cash, and clear the Moneyshop debt though.
If only I'd paid it off when I had £800 in the bank 2 weeks back.
Am really struggling with this feeling.
Cheers,
