Who thinks that on the first purchase of anything under a 3 year warranty that they have to sit there and read the terms and conditions of said warranty to keep it valid?
Not me!!
Maybe I am stupid?
I do find this says it all, you ask who bothers to read a warranty, I should think most people would especially with such an expensive purchase, and then when you have problems you moan they will not do repairs under the warranty that you cannot be bothered to read.
If you ask them nicely they may offer to do the repairs at a reduced rate but reading the way you have corresponded with them so far I somehow doubt it.0 -

Thanks for all your help :T
It isn't looking too good is it?
I still don't feel that a wheel should fall off after 540 miles and the day it fell off It had only travelled a few miles into the journey.
And the fact I made them aware what had happened when I asked for an estimate for the damage (bearing in mind we hadn't owned the caravan a year at this time, so the service/warranty issue did not matter at that time anyway, It was just I didn't realise we had a 3 year warranty as we were never told).
And all the dates of purchase and correspondence to prove this are on my PC in the form of emails.
That I am still not giving up and will probably take the advice of some of you and probably go down the citizens advice route etc. next.
Thanks again

Well follow that route then, let us know what happens0

I have looked at the Citizens advice site and found this "You can ask for a repair or replacement at any time up to six years after you bought the goods (five years in Scotland), as long as it is reasonable for them to have lasted this long"
So I am beginning to learn.
And this gives me new hope too.
Up until we bought the caravan we had never had anything from brand new.
I understand I have been a bit ignorant to rules and regulations upon buying this caravan but we were excited, wanted to take our pre-booked holidays without having to worry and when things went tits up we expected it to be put right without any hassle after such a short time.
I have had no reply from the finance company yet but i only sent them the details on Tuesday.
Once again I must thank you all for your comments and advice and I will keep you updated and hopefully be able to help others too in the future.
I have also thought a bit more about Robinsons wanting to know if I can prove the wheel just fell off and I am assuming that by getting someone to check the caravan for other signs of an accident, which they won't find, and by checking the tyre usage and wheel state, and also providing them with the shorn off wheel nuts which I still have, It shouldn't be impossible to do this.
If anyone has any ideas as to where to obtain this information I would be very grateful too.
But I will also be trying to find this out myself as well.
As I said I will keep you informed.
Thank you,
Mark.

Mark, your biggest problem is that you haven't stuck to the warranty maintenance schedule...You have to justify that.0
