2 ways i know how to do it is use a site like flickr to upload the pics to that then copy the links for the photos in a post or use a site like photobucket

Thanks for the advice on flickr, just tried a dummy run and deleted it as it shows too much personal info (thats if i am doing it right) and the photobucket option seems a pain the !!!! for a few photos.
    Thanks anyway
  • Hi Mark, Sorry to hear you've had so much trouble with your caravan, if you take a look at this website http://www.caravantalk.org.uk/ you may get some good advice, not just about your problems, but with all aspects of caravanning.

There is a specific section for Lunar owners. You may get more sympathetic, and genuine advice from fellow caravanners. Whilst you still may get some unwarranted comments, it's best to just ignore them.

Sorry but I do have other things to do besides sitting at my PC all day.
I did say I would post the photos and still will if anyone insists but they aren't that great.
I also said I would keep the post updated and here are the last 3 emails from and to Robinsons.

    1.
    Goof Afternoon Mr.#################

Further to your email enquiry last week and your question regarding who received the cash deposit that you paid on the caravan, I can confirm that the money would have gone to Robinsons Caravans.

Also, having spoken to David Robinson on the matter, he had two comments to add.
Firstly, he suggested that whilst you have not had your caravan serviced so far this year, if you have the caravan serviced now and then have subsequent services carried out in line with the anniversary of your original purchase date (30 March 2009), he feels sure that Lunar would support us with a warranty claim for any of your other items which may be covered under warranty.

Secondly, he doesn’t accept the wheel coming off your caravan is down to a manufacturing defect. He would suggest that you speak again to your Insurance Company as he cannot understand why they wouldn’t cover it. If you want us to give you an up-to-date estimate to submit to them, please let us know.

Should you decide that you want to book the caravan in for a service, please contact me and I will check when the available time slots are in the near future.

    Regards

    2.
    Hi ######################,

Thank you for this offer, if the wheel spat and rear spoiler where also sorted I would agree now.
It isn’t that the Insurance company wouldn’t cover us they just wanted to know why it wasn’t covered by the warranty as we enquired about the cost while it was still under warranty.
I would like a few more days to consider your offer as I have contacted Black Horse last Tuesday but they gave me the wrong email address so I contacted them again last Saturday and this time they gave me the correct address as I received an automated response from them but it could be up to 10 days before I hear from them.
I am down to a shortlist of engineering experts who are confident of proving the wheel nuts or nut could have been at fault (because I still have them) but they have only seen photos so far.
But they also would like to examine the van because they believe the only three ways it could happen is if the wheel nuts were faulty, over tightened or the van was involved in accident which I am 200% certain will not be the case.
But this is going to be quite expensive so I am also in the process of looking at how to retrieve the costs back.
So if you can give me two weeks maximum (bearing in mind I will let you know as soon as possible as I receive any more information on the matter) on your offer please let me know as I also have an appointment at the Citizens Advice Bureau on Friday afternoon.
If you Cc my emails to ############### I can also read and respond while working.

    Thanks
    Mark

    and 3.
    Hi ######################
Further to your email, I feel I should clarify that if you wish to have your caravan serviced the discounted price as a Robinsons customer would be £206.80 which includes vat and labour for a single axle caravan. As David Robinson said, he is pretty confident that if you had your caravan serviced in the very near future then this would help when we submit your warrant claim for your other issues but would ask you to remember that the longer the reply takes the more difficult it will be for us to persuade Lunar to support the claim. Also to reiterate, all subsequent services would need to be carried out at the time of the anniversary of the purchase date of the van (ie. 30th March each year).

    Will await your response.

    Regards

    ##########################

Mark, the offer seems to be very good, though it is your, and yours only decision to accept, I suggest that the Company are reasonable in this case.

For those of you new to the Thread and are unsure about swaging, and over torquing. Take a paper clip and continuously twist it. Eventually it shall break. the portion where the break occurs will have been extruded to a thin point, this is the same as stretcdhing an elastic band.

The same as possibly occured in this instance.

Just tried the tinypic site and just get redirected to Truprint,Huddle and Vistaprint etc.
Too much hassle to upload a handful of photos that just show damaged caravan parts, I will eventually get them uploaded but have more important thongs to do at the moment.
Thanks again for all the help and as promised I will keep this post updated when I hear from the Finance company (probably on next Thursday as this will be the 10th working day for them to respond).

    Thanks
