Morning everyone
Happy Birthday MATH
Just getting ready for work. Should be a busy day. Mondays are normally busy but when it clashes with the start of the month it's mayhem.
Have to put in my 2007 hols today. So keep your fingers crossed for me. We find out at the end of the month if we get what we want. Last year I initially got declined which is a bit of a pain as my hubby gets set holidays at his work. Eventually in March I got what I wanted :T
Got a new laptop yesterday. My old one had numerous different problems and was causing more trouble every day. I was just going to persevere but hubby insisted we just bite the bullet and get a new one :j
As I am at work all day nothing much else will be getting done. By the time I get home, make dinner and tidy up I am whacked!
Well must go and get one. Have a good day folks0 -
Morning everyone
Happy birthday MATH, have a fabulous day.
Also birthday greetings to Mirakl - haven't see you for a wee while Mirakl, hope you are OK.
I have woken to the tantilising aroma of chilli comnig from my slow cooker. Really, has been making me dream of eating, and I am ravenous. The smell is just lovely! That is dinner sorted - will have some soup and bread for lunch. Hopefully there will be enough chilli to freeze three or four portions - it's in grave danger of being gobbled up all at once.
I think I will try and fit in a bit of foraging for blackberries today as what I've made from previous supplies has been fabulous. Hopefully there will be some left. I wish I knew what sloes and other free food looked like. There is probably an abundance of all sorts of edible things in the local hedgerows, but which I am too ignorant to avail of. Does anyone know of any decent website which has good clear illustrations and descriptions?
Amanda - have a lovely swim, I must admit I'm in awe of you fitting in so much in one day. I'm glad you kept the gym up though, as it does seem you do enjoy it and you get your money's worth from it.
VickyA - I too loved the pictures. It looks like you had fun getting to the church!
Bye for now all, have a great Monday.

Got lots to do today, tidying the house after guests etc, took some cod out of the freezer that I had bought reduced and the smell of it! That has had to go straight in to the bin. So will just have to whip up some pasta puttenesca for supper tonight methinks.
Its so damm wet here, and we had a mini torrnedo last night, frightning.
Hope everyone has a good day and that its not too, too monday morning ish.
Big hugglies to those that need them and those that dont.
What I hate about this time of year is trying to get all my washing dry in my tiny cottage, cant wait to have a utility room, I really want to get one of those shelia maids that you draw down to put the washing on.
Have a good day everyone, :T

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATH
Good morning everyone,
Still dark here at the moment, so not sure what type of day its going to be!!!! Do need to put the WM on, also want to make some bread.
I have 3 little ones today, not sure what we are going to do today yet tho, might see what they want to do!!!
Had a good day yesterday, managed to get DDs room sorted out, she must be pleased cos she slept all night in her own bed (and is still there!!!) I, on the other hand, kept waking up, expecting her to visit me in the night (which is what normally happens!!!) Never mind, i expect she will be back tonight :rotfl: .
Right, better get the day started, have a great one,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Good to see you ageandjo - hope your back is better now!!!
Has anyone heard from Moggins, Kaz or Churchmouse lately??? Hope they are all ok!!!!!0 -
Good morning Chums,
I'm off to my craft class today, Christmas is looming it's head again, and it seems to come around more quickly every year,or is it just me getting old.
Then this afternoon I have my hairdresser coming to trim my hair, she is a dear little lass and is so reasonable .I am off for a long week-end to Holland this Friday so I want to look my best. Weather is dry at the moment fingers crossed it will last, my DD has her builders starting this morning, and she is hoping the extention will be finished for Christmas. We picked up the dining room furniture that we bought on Ebay yesterday, and it is now stacked neatly around my house. My sitting room looks very smart at the moment .Hope you all have a good Monday and the rain holds off for those with washing to hang out.
Mine is all done, and put away (she said rather smugly). makes a change for me ,one of the advantages of having a broken night's sleep is you catch up on the chores .
Ta Ta for now

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATH :bdaycake:
Both kiddies are up already and are playing. we bought my daugther an electric scooter yesterday , and of course they are both fighting over it. buy hey if my bum was smaller i'd be fighting aswell.
The sky looks so dark and grey i am hoping it is going to rain all day. as i'm in winter mood.
i made some gorgeous double chocolate chip cookies yesterday ,so i think i am going to try my hand at some coconut and cherries ones. haven't quite worked out the recipe yet but will do as i go along i think.
then tonight i am planning to make a shepards pie. although i am feeling a bit fed up with the fact that my daugther is getting more and more fussier and just looks at her dinner and says no. if it was up to her she would eat chips all day every day. but i refuse to give in.i wouldn't mind if she tried the food and didn't like it , rather than just saying no without trying it.but thankfully she loves fruit and eats loads so it not all bad.
And also she is 3 in a few weeks and she just won't use potty. she can control herself and knows what it is about , but i am struggling so much so i guess i have another battle with that. i am trying to not make her feel pressured tho as i think that is worse. but my god i think she is going to be in nappies till she at school. it certainly is a big learning curve being a parent.
might attemp to cut the grass. it is getting rather long . kids love being out in garden.
enjoy your day everyone0 -

Morning everyone,
Happy birthday MATH:beer:
Just had breakfast - scrambled egg/baked beans and toast for kids and hm damson yogurt for me (yum).
Supermarket trip this morning. Can't decide whether to go to Tesco or Waitrose. Waitrose is more expensive but nicer but Tesco has better deals and is nearer. Must go to the farmshop too and see if they have any big sacks of spuds yet.
Might do my school baking today so that I've got tomorrow free - need to go into town for school stuff for ds1 (lost PE top already:rolleyes: -next time and he'll be buying his own) and winter coat for dd- bet I won't find anything I like. I couldn't believe the clothes for girls in M&S. Tops with 'whatever' written across them. Am I just really old fashioned or is that rude ?
See you all later:)0
