    Morning everyone
Happy Anniversary PINK thank you for all your hard work

Well today I am supposed to be going to meet people from my new course for a drink but the weather is terrible here and I really don't feel like driving for an hour to have a glass of pop. I think I would rather just meet them all tomorrow at the course, but I will see when the OH gets home...he is going to drive with me.

Also my aunt passed away at 4am this morning. I was very close to her when I was little, but not so much for the last 10 years or so, so it feels very weird. I almost feel detached from it, but then again I don't. Does that make any sense?!?!

OH made me a fab meal last night, Gary Rhodes black on rack. Its black pudding wrapped in a rack of lamb, it was yummy! I want to cook something this evening but not sure what...can't have too much garlic in because of uni tomorrow. I really fancy doing a roast chicken after reading the sunday roast thread

Other than that I have already given the house a quick clean, one load of washing is on the airer (grrr rain) and another load is in the WM (only about another 3 to go now-weather was bad yesterday too!). I have had a slice of toast and a coffee whilst other half was at boxing. So I will get ready now and decide whether to go for that drink or not.

Have a great day everyone :)
  • Afternoon all

We're off out in a minute, so this is a quick post while my lunch goes down! I have sympathy with those who are having to create a costume for Book Day. I'm in the midst of putting together a Red Indian (from Peter Pan) for DS. I didn't have a suitable t-shirt, so dyed one of his old white ones with tea last night. Its come out just perfect, by a happy accident! Now for the loincloths and feathered headband! Oh yes - and a cardboard Tomahawk. ;) The week after, I'm having to create a wolf costume for "Peter and the Wolf" day. I've got a plan for ears, but that's about it.

Not much OS going on here today, too busy getting sorted out to go out this afternoon. I suspect I'll be in a mad rush to catch up with myself once we get back. Oh well, its devilled sausages (chops, for me) and savoury rice for tea, so at least that's not much of a challenge. :)

Happy anniversary Pink! Hope you're all having a great Sunday - keep out of the rain and hugs to those who need them.
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Good Afternoon All.

Just loaded the SC with veges in the hope of soup coming out later - I may have put a bit too much in though. It's bursting at the seams.

Went to homebase earlier - I want a bookcase for the top of the stairs to keep vids, dvds etc out of the way. And they have one reduced to 14.99 - it's not that exciting but I could paint it if necessary. DH may be dispatched later to get it. There was no way I was manhandling it and 2 kids into the car.

Off to take DS out on his bike, DD can go in the buggy and we'll head to the park (it went v quiet earlier, they've worked out how to get the tv on themselves, no mean feat when you see all the links and connections DH has created. Show's how desperate they were.

    Take care everyone.

    Hi everyone!
I have had the most fab 40th birthday weekend [I've been like the queen receiving all my visitors!!] and I am now the proud owner of the TWG. HAve only read the 1st 30 pages so far but am loving up. Right up my street!!
More back to my OS ways today as it's all rather been put on the back burner with the arrival of the new moggie. Have made 2 weetabix cakes and cooked up a load of windfall apples we found over the back of us. BM has also been busy and loaf is now cooling.
Haven't needed to cook lunch tho' as Mum has made me roast pork followed by apple and raspberry crumble:T :T
This evening we'll be getting the lunches ready and I've got a pile of mending jobs to do.
    Enjoy the rest of Sunday

  • Afternoon all :hello:

I'm feeling very smug with myself - I have just ironed DD's school uniform and mine and DH's work clothes for the entire week :T Of course I realise this is a perfectly normal occurence in most people's households - but for me

Have finally used up my "shop bought" cleaner and have refilled it with stardrops and water - looking forward to a sparkling house and ££££'s saved :D

Have just realised I haven't eaten today yet - DD and DH have both had brekkie and lunch - so not quite sure what has happened there

Dinner tonight is roast chicken, yorkies, roast spuds, stuffing, broccoli, carrots, peas, gravy and bread sauce - better sling the chicken in the oven soon me thinks. When I've finished with the chicken DH has got into this new routine of using the leftovers to make chicken with noodles/rice/pasta and sweet chilli sauce to make his lunches for the week and slinging them in the freezer - see I have got him trained ;)

I'm just about to have a surf and get some inspiration for :santa2: Christmas pressies - I've made a list for the 14 people I have to buy for (inc me and DH and DD with approximate prices) and it comes to £400  So I will be looking for things and then having a big search to see if I can get things cheaper elsewhere IYKWIM.

Anyway I've rambled enough - have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))

    Happy Anniversary Pink-Winged
