Yes, BT do have an indirect access clause in their contract; whether they actually implement it, I do not know. BT also have a limit on how many 0845 calls you can make each month.

Talktalk have no limit on the number of 0845 calls each month, but they do have an indirect clause too, which has not been implemented (yet).

To be on the safe side, you can always use your own recording device and send recordings to Optimum Contact by e-mail each day.

This thread is about working for Optimum Contact. Optimum Contact offers work doing telephone surveys. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the !!!!!! industry..

If you want to discuss your work in the !!!!!! industry I suggest you go elsewhere.

    Hi Folks

I have been working for optimum for a while now and it is good. However I have a temp day job now which means I can only do it after 5pm on a week night now and weekends. Does anyone do the surveys between the hours of 5pm and 9pm on a week night? If so can you tell me if you manage to get plenty of people to do the surveys for you enough to make it worth while doing. Also does anyone do it on the saturday and which times delivers the best results?

    Thanks

I do quite a few surveys in the evenings - but these are mostly callbacks. Saturdays can also be good as you catch people in who are out working on weekdays.

You cannot work until 9pm at night - the latest is 8:30pm on weekdays and either 4pm or 6pm on a Saturday (depending on the survey).

Personally, I don't like to do surveys on an evening/weekend that involve questions about financial matters, as I think it makes people suspicious.

I am a little confused about the call charges - Iam on a virgin talk unlimited package but doesn't include 0845 nos - do I need to change to something else?
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

If you cannot make free calls to 0845 numbers you need to use your own call recording equipment and submit call recordings to Optimum Contact on a daily basis.

    Hi all,

I've been trying to get some surveys under my belt, but no one seems to have time!

Saturday morning, I got zilch, and this morning I started at 10.45am. In the half an hour since then, I've called 11 people and not one is interested!

I've often been complimented on my manner on the phone, so I don't think it's me (he says modestly..) :)

No one seems to want to bother!

Paul - On the OC Surveys page, where it tells you how many surveys are available (next to the relevant company), does that mean how many actual surveys the company wants doing, or how many customers details are on the system?

    Many Thanks,

    Sim.

    SimIsOnTheUp...

I am finding it a difficult day today as well. I have not done any surveys in 90 minutes. But a few weeks ago I had my best week ever - earning around £270 in a week.

The numbers you refer to are the number of surveys to be done - usually until the end of that wave of data (usually weekly or monthly). But for some surveys, they are the number of surveys to be done until the end of the summer season (October), even though data is loaded weekly.

You also have to add in all the callbacks to that number to get the true number of surveys left to be done.

    Hiya Paul,

    Hope your day has improved!

£270 in a week? So 100 surveys then? Blimey! Good going :T

It feels great to finally give this a fair crack of the whip, after not having felt well enough in the past.

Happy to report, I've now got 5 surveys under my belt this afternoon!

Am aiming for 10 by tonight.

How many do you usually get done in a day, on average?

It's a 'numbers game' really isn't it? Just need to keep positive, as it comes across in our voice :)

    Cheers - Sim.
