Hi
Your are doing fine , we will crack this thing need a bit more information though
Is the alarm in the unset condition, if so open your front door type in your code
the panel should beep to you and you should see zone 1 led on.
Close front door from inside , the panel should time out after say 30 seconds.
Give it a try.0 -

Thanks again to both of you. Did what you said but no sound. Set alarm and triggered it off. It works. When you set it, it makes a series of beeps. It used to then go into a faster beep ,but doesn't do that now, but it is working and I've learned something too. Many thanks. We'll sleep tonight!0

Good work
The faster beeeps only sound when you are coming in, they warn you that there is only 10 seconds left for you to enter your code
Remember you still have to replace the battery in the control panel to prevent the panel locking up again
12Volts, 3.0 Ampre Hour battery will do fine
Cheers
