First of all, don't worry about the amount of debt, the OR won't bat an eyelid.
Yes you need to do two forms for the insolvency service, one for each of you, and pay two fees unfortunately
Your tv, if you are going to list it, goes under Assets
You will be allowed to keep your car - the OR is only interested in items he can make a lot of money selling.
If you are going to go br, then stop paying your creditors immediately!
You need another bank account too.
You have come to the right place, we are here to help
It looks to me as if br would be the best option for you, and you appear to have nothing to lose.
Please ask away if you have more questions.0 -
I have a computer system on HP - if I apply for bankruptcy, will I lose it?
Also my car is only worth about £600, will that go as well, considering the amount I owe is £2000?0 -
Evening all hope you are all well?
We have stopped paying our creditors this week and I just wanna know if I should tell them about the fact OH is going to apply for bankrupcy? even though it will be early feb before we have the fees? (payplan weren't allowed to tell me what to do and I wanted some thoughts
the 'good' thing this week LOL is natwest decided not to bounce any loan payments coming out of bank account but extended OH overdraft and credit card limits (as interest put him over limit!) ?? have even had a letter to say this but online banking shows it unbelivable!
thanks

If you don't get on with it and do something asap the council will have declared br on you long before your three month's payments are up.0 -

No i think they just weren't allowed to advise me what to do in relation to telling about the BR.

Thanks, I already read it - but it doesn't help me as it's been passed to the bailiffs. And the council will not take any action in the 3 months as long as I stick to the £100-per-month-for-3-months agreement.
Yes £2000 is a small amount to go br over but I have no way or repaying it to their satisfaction. They are considering prison for non-payment and that's something I will do anything to avoid.0 -

And the CAB are dead-set against bankruptcy!!0 -
do you think?
I haven't been able to speak to them yet so I don't know. The phone constantly engaged or just rings forever. and the office opening hrs never seem to be right when I can get there.
