Sarah, thats fantastic! I'm glad it wasn't too scary!!
I'm starting to get nervous about Tuesday - mainly because we thought my OH would be able to get the morning off work to come with me, but thats looking unlikely now so I'll be going on my own. I'm not familliar with the area so will be nervous enough driving there - plus I'll leave mega early in case I get lost and also because traffic can be really bad round here in the morning! Must remember to take my book!LBM: 25th November 2010 - total debt: 10762.38
Littlewoods: 2450.12, Very: 3273.56, Loan: 2256.87, Car: £1000.00, argos card: £135.00, Overdraft: £1000.00,
Grand total: £10115.55
Paid off so far:646.83 - December 20100 -
Well Done Sarah!

Hi Sarah - I'm sorry - I have not been too good the last couple of days, but I did think of you and I am really pleased that it went well. :T :T

I am going to get MBNA if it is the last thing I do. Read back at Rog2's messages - he has had the same problem as myself. If you read any of the DFW threads, many many people have a lot of trouble with MBNA. It is illegal and it is going to stop.
Hi Sarah,
I don't know if it is a result, as I received a letter only Monday stating that I must contact MBNA by 27th November (Monday  ) or they will take legal action against me, but this morning I have received a letter from EVERSHEDS which reads:
'Please note that MBNA Europe Bank transferred and assigned your account to MAX Recovery Ltd. Your account will be administered on behalf of MAX Recovery Ltd. by Eversheds LLP Solicitors.
For the avoidance of doubt, we will be dealing direct with your Nominee/Supervisor/Trustee in Bankruptcy (if applicable) as required by law and it is extremely unlikely you will be contacted by us again. There is no need to respond to this letter.'
Strange, but I hope it signals the last of MBNA's constant harrassment.
Anyone else received a similar letter?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Sorry I forgot to wish you luck, I think I am still realing in the light of mine yesterday.... I haven't the big cheesy grin, but I do have the numb sense of relief feeling
Oh and it has been so nice today answering the phone and saying no I won't make a single further payment!!! MBNA, Next, GE Capital, have all been fairly pleasant when I've told them, I doubt it means the end of the MBNA calls mind(saying that though, their last call was 6 hours ago!!)

Hi Rog,
MBNA were one of the thorns in our side, would have liked to put that more eloquently but out of respect for those who don't appreciate colourful language I'll refrain.
We got the same letter and not heard anything from them since. We have recently moved house but received letter at the old house and I rang Eversheds, spoke to a really helpful solicitor who confirmed that we'd not here any more; think we owed them a good £25k too

Hi BR day on Weds, we have a new Nationwide Flexaccount which our benefits are paid into and my wages (from p/t job) went in today.
So, should I take out most of the money before Weds so we have money to live on (in case it is frozen) or would that be frowned upon?0
