Oh, I've already put this new account on my SOA, paper one so can't cross it out. Will they need to see a statement?
Also it asks for amount of 'cash in hand' in Assets column. Shall I put withdrawn cash in that?

Sorry to ask again, but I'm not sure what to do.

Hi Bizzy please dont fret i also put my basic bank account on my court papers but the bankruptcy clerk asked me if any of my accounts were basic ones and i said yes and she wrote across it basic account and said if it was frozen it would be a mistake and could be sorted out in 24 hours as the OR has no interest in basic accounts.

The other worry is that my car is worth £10,000 - we have young children, go camping and I teach aerobics so have 30 exercise mats to cart around, so we bought a 7 seater last year. Are we right that this will be taken away in Bankruptcy but they will give us back £1,500 to replace it? How does this work? I need a big car for the mats - does anyone think this will be taken into consideration?

Advice on what to do next would really help - thank you.

    Whoops Apocalype

Hi Whoops - there is no 'hard and fast' rule about the car. The OR will make a decision based on your requirements, for example if you need the car for work. guessing by the value of your car, though, OR will probably decide that you could use a cheaper car, or maybe van, but the amount allowed will vary from OR to OR. Also - is the car on HP? Could you perhaps downsize before your br, to something with half the value which may be viewed more favourably by OR?

Thank you, I will stop fretting and leave the cash where it is.

Thanks for all the help from everyone, I'd be going crazy without this board, it's great to have somewhere to ask all these questions.

You don't need to cross it out - you must declare the account. I very much doubt that OR will ask, but if you have withdrawn the cash for normal household expenditure/shopping, the OR is unlikely to have a problem with that.
