    Hi Sandra,

I lost the wireless connection on my laptop on Monday pm, after some considerable time it's the new security update (Norton Firewall) that stops the wireless connecting to the hub; and the ethernet connection. You need to disable the firewall and hope they get it sorted soon.

I use a work laptop and didn't have rights to disable it so had to go through all the program files and delete the Symantec Norton files - not good.

I downloaded the new security measures from Microsoft on Wednesday morning last week - went out for two hours - came home and couldn't connect!

I have removed the Microsoft Defender programme from my computer but still won't connect.

I will check on the firewall settings etc.
    Thanks!

It's the BT broadband Norton Firewall that causes the problem. I was on the phone for a couple of hours last night to B.T's technical department somewhere in South East Asia and even though it was sometime difficult to hear what the advisor was saying she was very helpful and patient.

When she asked if I had downloaded any new software and I mentioned the BT Norton Firewall she had a lightbulb moment, did a few more tests and declared that the download was stopping my laptop from accessing the hub; how ironic.

If you go into the Norton icon you have the option to disable the firewall, that should allow you to go back on line.

All done from start to finish took less than 50 minutes, have to admit I was bricking it going in but you were right its not half as intimidating as I thought it would be and I did not even have to see the judge.
Have been told to go home and await the call from the or,and if any creditors call in the meantime to give them my br number . Thanks for the help everyone has given me so far and good luck to everyone going through br at the moment:wave:

Thanks, did the or ask you any tough questions? or is it fairly plain sailing from here. I was going in town to open my basic account however I think its best to speak to the or before doing anything.
