I know that after seeing the judge and being declared br, you have to have an interview with the OR. There seem to be a few variations to this - by phone, the same day or at a later time. Is this variation at the whim of the OR or is it that each court does it one certain way?
BR day is on 6th Dec - only 9 days away - so panic is setting in!0 -
i think it depends on the complexity of your brankruptcy.
i went br on the 6/11 and was told at court the ORwould contact me either that day or the next and i was the following week when the paperwork came through the door and my interview was on the 23/11 and it was by phone and lasted 10 mins.Official DFW NERD 189

Absolutely right gis - my br was at the high court in London, yet my OR meeting was two weeks later in Bristol and lasted 3 and a half hours.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

just tweeking my form before printing it out ready for tomorrow.....
re access to other vehicles... my partner has his own car which he uses every day for work etc. I am on his insurance but rarely drive it, perhaps if he has had a drink when we're out I'll drive home, or occassionally its easier to take his at the weekend to Tesco or wherever rather than faff about moving cars around to get mine out.
Do I admit to having access to his car? I'm disabled, I cannot risk them saying to get rid of mine because I have access to his, nor do I want them to start involving his assets in my bankruptcy.
What do you suggest?BCSC # 29 - BRD 29/11/06ED 31/08/07 phew!

The bankruptcy will not affect you if all of the debts are in OH name, which it seems that they are.
They do not send anybody to go through your house, your personal possessions or anything else.
Remember that they are only trying to recoup back some of the debt - so they are looking for things that would raise a lot of money - antiques, valuable furniture, cars, etc.
They will not touch any of your private belongings.
If you OH is on a course and you are living on benefits, there won't even be any IPA to pay.
By the way, student loans cannot be put in with the bankruptcy, they still have to be paid.
The br fee would be £325 as the Court Fee of £150 is usually waived if you are on benefits.
I hope this helps.
hi im sorry its taken me a while to come back on the issue. Thanktyou for your reply its a relief. My oh doesnt have a student loan as his course as funded by an educational body.
We just have to find the money fom somehere now for him to do it once he faces the bullet and gets ALL creditors details together.
Im quite pleased with ,myself today though as i have paid off one of my debts with powergenit was only £50 but it was alot to me as i only get £30 a week i paid it off in £5 installments last one today
