Am On Phone Now To Co-op!
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D
  • Sarah, you will be safe with a Cashminder Account - when you complete your br form it asks which bank account your State Benefits are paid into. The OR does not freeze those accounts at all.

I can guarantee that you won't have any trouble with the Co-op and br either. The Co-op are well known for being fabulous as a bank.

I got my Cashminder when I was doing an IVA, I then telephoned the Co-op to inform them of my date for br. and she seemed amazed that I was bothering to let them know!

    All will be well !

:rotfl: she says hang on a minute would you like me to run you through the other accounts we can offer you today:rotfl::rotfl: I said if you could see my credit ref file you would not have even mentioned other accounts:rotfl:

Well hopefully all is well shame i have no co-op bank near me so when the forms come i will have to return them via snail mail. I think I will have to have to change it so my money goes in OH bank account until this is sorted.

The Co-op didn't send me any forms!! It was all done and sorted over the phone. I didn't even have to send any proof of identity!

thanks rog2 but I have a feeling that because I was a gambler that a debit card and cheque book could be seen as tempting fate. I can see them flying into the or's shredder lol

  • In bankruptcy you would not be allowed a cheque book!!

You will get a debit card with Cashminder - a Visa Electron

Quite possibly Sarah - unfortunately.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

  • Sarah, have you undergone any therapy for your addiction? Just a thought - it will help you in the long run. I do therapy work myself and I know what you go through. Have you a GA near you who could help?
