  • At the end of the day, Scootw, if the OR thinks that you are over-estimating on your expenditure then he will alter it for you.

I know that you are trying not to pay any IPA, but sometimes you just have to roll with the fall.

The CAB cannot tell you one way or the other whether you are claiming too much. At the end of the day it is up to you, and it is you who signs your SoA for the Courts as being a truthful statement, which you swear in Court.

It's not that I am trying not to pay in IPA because I know thats not going to happen. I just want to make sure I am not leaving myself short for the IPA (maybe I've missed something out I didnt think of). And I want to make sure that I know what the OR will ask about when th einterview comes up. Just trying to cover myself really.
  • Scoot i think you may be suprised with the OR interview ,they will not leave you short of money to live on ,it might no be enough to go ott with but they make sure that you can manage all your priority debts and have enough to live on ,just see it this way if you can manage on what they leave you with every month then once its all over with you just think how much you will be left with every month !

Thank you. I was actually talking to someone at lunchtime who went bankrupt and he siad I am worrying over nothing. he had a couple of hundred cash inhand which he told them about and they werent interested in it. He also said they didnt ask for receipts, bank statements or any sort of proof of where his money went. Mind you, he went bankrupt due to a break-up in marriage, mine was overspending (albeit a lot down to "comfort shopping" due to bullying.

Any opinions on the best Pre-paid card to get - I'm more than a bit fogged at the moment so many numbers and worries going round my head and I'm getting confused now.

Also, basic bank accounts, I know some people have successfully opened one before their br date and kept it, which banks have these been? Which accounts are quick or should I say to get opened and running without traipsing round town? My br date is wednesday week and I really don't want any income getting caught in my current accounts if I can help it
