    Hi All,

credit ref agencies hold all info from credit searchies i.e when you have applied for a cc or loan, it also shows your defaults etc and this is what other companies see if you apply for one of there loans etc, it will also show financial connections, for instance my OH was on mine but just because we live together we do not have any joint accounts. if you do have any joint accounts and you are going br on your own it is best to close/sever all links - hope this helps, credit ref agencies are
    callcredit
    experian
    equifax
sorry i have no addresses to hand your credit file will cost 2 pounds to obtain, however i think that experian can be done on the net for free at the moment and you can print that straight off. i'm sure if you google/jeeves them the info will pop up.

Just to make sure that it is up-to-date and to make sure it is correct, that there are no associations with partners/OH that may cause problems.

The addresses are as follows :

    Experian Ltd
    Consumer Help Service
    PO Box 8000
    Nottingham
    NG80 7WF
    Tel No 0870 241 6212
    https://www.experian.co.uk
(You can order your credit file on the internet or by telephone).

    Equifax Plc
    Credit File Advice Centre
    PO Box 1140
    Bradford
    BD1 5US
    Tel No 0870 010 0583
    https://www.equifax.co.uk
(you can order your credit file on the internet)

    Callcredit plc
    Consumer Services Team
    P O Box 491
    Leeds
    LS1 5XX
    Tel No 0870 060 1414
    https://www.callcredit.plc.uk

You should send the request for your file, enclosing £2.00 and your address(es) for the last six years.

    Hi,

It is highly unlikely that the OR will take your car away from you, so don't worry about that.

Re your income, just tell the OR the truth and tell your income as it is.

Your computer is hardly worth mentioning. If I were you I wouldn't list it as an asset on the forms.
The forms online can be found at https://www.insolvency.gov.uk

The OR will want to know what contribution each adult makes in the household but apart from that they don't ask about their income unless it is a joint br. They are not interested in OH past income, either.

Your nursing career is safe - they don't even need to be informed. It is jobs within the financial sector that are affected by br particularly, and working as a Solicitor or Accountant.

    Hope this helps!

I have tried and tried to keep things afloat but debts from the year dot involving Income Support keep finding there way to me and this sets me back, just when I thought I had every thing under control.
I have been getting advice from cccs and they have been a life saver but now things are over my head and mebbe its time to file for Bankruptcy.

I have recieved info from The Insolvancy Service and I have an appointment tomorrow with a company who deal in these matters. Its all abit scary but mebbe life will get a bit brighter sooner rather than later.

If you have nothing much to lose then bankruptcy will allow you to make a fresh start without having to play catch-up all the time.

If we can help you in any way, please do ask!

Quick question concerning the OR. When you have the interviiew will the ask for receipts for stuff you've bought. Earlier in the thread I saidI needed a new fridge and microwave. Will they want the receipts for those? Sorry if I'm still being paranoid about the OR but its just the way I am
  • scoot i sure hope he doesn't - my br date is 30th, i haven't any reciepts my guess is if he/she wants to know they will trust you to tell them.

  • The problem with buying new stuff so close to bankruptcy is that the OR might decide to take them and sell them.

If you need to keep some money aside, hide it in the wardrobe or the back of the fridge and forget that it's there!
