The OR office rang me yeat to book and appt, its next fri @ 1pm, I will be at work but I can book a meeting room so I can chat freely with out anyone hearing, I am nervous about it but also glad it will mean another step over with, what I'm worried about is that my interview is on the fri and on the sun my parents are taking me and my daughter on holiday (early xmas present and clebrating another step towards our future) I know this sounds really bad as having just gone BR and going on holiday, but I can assure you I haven't paid for any of it and If I didn't go I would have to pay extra for childcare costs as my parrent look after her 2 1/2 days a week, do you think I should tell the OR I am going on holiday incase she request lots of extra paper work and I won't be able to get it to her quickly?

My daughter paid for us to go on holiday and I did not tell the OR, just go and have a good time it will do you the world of good :)

  • Hi,
I sent off all my paperwork to OR office today in prep for fridays interview, I decided to copy everything so I have a copy of it in front of me when I have interview and incase it gets lost in post, the nice OR sent a pre-paid stamp & envolope which saved me £6! (alot of paperwork!) counting down the days until my interview, can't wait to get it over with to be honest, Just a bit worried about explaining the debts and what which cards/loans were used for as there are all from 2+ years ago and I don't have statments for any of them, I haven't run up and additoinal debts/overdraft/loans or anything for the last two years since seprating from my husband.
  • So I have 20 mins til my OR interview and I am really starting to worry, even tho I have nothing to worry about cause will only be telling the truth, will post back when its over.
  • Good luck today. We haven't had our interviews or even our forms yet!
  • well all done within 1/2 hour. The lady OR was so nice and didn't for one second make me feel bad about the situation I have got myself in (even tho I do) she confirmed my car (worth £850) is exempt and no intrest in my company pension and that I have to make no payments as I don't have any surplus. Also really pleased cause she said they don't need to inform my landlord which is great cause I haven't made a payment to them yet apart from the deposit/month up front. I really am relieved. She also mentioned my case was fairly striaght forward and quite possibly get an early discharge, not getting my hopes up tho just incase it doesn't happen. so am I right in thinking I don't need to do anything now until I get discharged and start credit file clean up?
  • Great news for you, I spoke too soon earlier, forms just arrived in the post.
  • thanks!
The forms I had from OR wern't to bad really just one form to read through and sign, then just sent all paperwork to do with debts, thats it!
good luck, post back when you have your interview
  • Had our interviews today, hubby's was for 10 o'clock, mine was at 2 o'clock. Hubby's lasted an hour and a half & OR said as I was there he would see me then, after half hour I was out, so we were both sorted by 12.15. OR was fine & said he'd seen a lot of pubs go under in the last two years, we haven't got to pay anything, we can keep the car & basically get on with our life. Now I just want to sleep for a bit. lol. Thanks to everyone on the board for all help & advice.
