  • Hi! Another one to add to the October list. :j
My br date was 6/10. Long time coming, but I'm glad I've taken the plunge. It's a real weight off my head!

Sorry, I'm new to this - I was given an IPA for the tax on my salary, but am still paying tax. Does anyone know how long it may take to get NT status? Also, have question about potential christmas bonus from work. Any advice? Many thanks!:)
  • Hi
Just thought I'd pop in & see how we're all doing. Court sent my refund by cheque!!! finally got through to the clerk & he realised straightaway how daft that was, so told me to take it back with the name of somebody who would put it through their account for me. Took it back to be remade in my daughters name, all good, will be sent in post. Cue heavy snow & no post at all this week :( Still what I haven't got I can't spend, although I would like to be able to clear it before Christmas! Here's hoping.
Also told a debt collection agent that came knocking that we'd gone bankrupt, gave him our number & told him that his presence was no longer required & shut the door on him. Hubby was gobsmacked, said even he wouldn't have had the balls to do that. It's not in my nature to be rude & I know someone has to do the job but, he was a real bully & had upset me several times so I didn't feel guilty.
Then last Friday hubby had just brought the car round & was taking the dogs for a quick walk before taking me to the hospital & some woman opened the porch door & then the door to our living room calling hubby's name! I hobbled down the stairs & asked her if I could help & she said I just wanted to let you know I've come to repossess your car in respect of a parking fine!!! Told her we'd gone bankrupt, gave her our number, not her problem apparently, she had immobilised the car so hubby wouldn't drive off in it & was phoning the pick up truck to let them know where it was. I told her she could do her phoning from the st & asked how she had immobilised it as I couldn't see a clamp. To which she replied "I've put a sticker on it saying it must not be moved" with that I quickly closed the door before I started laughing. Hubby came in & went ballistic (which for some reason I also found funny) so whilst he was having a rant I phoned the OR & let hubby speak to him. OR actually said she's a f***ing idiot took her phone number & told us to carry on with our day, funnily enough haven't heard from her again. Compared to all that this week has been very quiet, but then again our village has been cut off since Monday.
Hope you are all well & keeping warm,
    Jackie

    Hey skintbint

Glad you got your money back from the court; I'm still battling to get mine back!

Other than that everything is good. Am a bit worried about the new br rules but will have to see how it works out.

I was unemployed when I went br but am working again and loving my new job so things are pretty good. Made it to work in spite of the weather!
