Spent half hour with clerk, slight problem in that my letter from DWP was two days out of date, so DP had to go to PO and withdraw our last 150 pounds to pay the fee. ( we can claim this back.) Paid, and clerk gave us receipt, & said goodbye, this will go before the judge and you will hear in the post!!!!!
Thurs, phone call from OR, spoke to us individually and said he will be sending us some paperwork to fill in and an appt to attend his office for individual interviews. Today received stamped papers from court. We are bankrupt (phew). Can only assume ours is different because it is a joint business partnership bankruptcy? even the clerk had to check because he only does one or two a year.
That's exactly what happened to me with regard to the fee remission. I'll claim it back too. I didn't have to see the judge at all, it was done then and there. Has taken a few days to sink in but am starting to feel like a big weight has been lifted. Hope things work out for you too.0 -

Getting really nervous! pretty much knew I had to go BR two years ago when separated from my husband but been keeping everyone at bay by offering token payments but there starting to get the hump (and I still haven't won the lottery to pay off my large debt!!!!!).0

Hi and welcome to the forum, I have added your details to our list. Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know) but you will be fine. If you have any concerns, then post them in the main BR forum, someone will always be around to help:pB&SC No. 298

You can add my name to the list! Made official on 15th October, but still not feeling I can relax yet.
I have had my phone call from the OR, but they need to send me some paper work to have the (pedal) bike I use to get to work valued and so far no luck with a bank account.
Once the above have been sorted I'm sure I will feel a lot more relieved and can begin putting the pieces back together.
Nice to see there's such support out there though0 -

hi there
have you tried the basic accounts with the coop and barclays? these are the two known br friendly accounts....x0 -
Hi,
Yes, I tried Barclays and they said it was likely I would be declined due to a credit card with them. I have an even bigger debt with Co-Op, but have applied to them today anyway.
I should find out about both by next week - fingers crossed!0
