  • Ani, how awesome to meet you. You are truly as lovely as I expected, and it was a pleasure to spend time with you today, I only wish it could have been longer.
Love the car and as they say in Essex well jell !
The drive to Arnold was beautiful. Hope to see you again and go to the famous shop on Monday

Dan says he has no preconceptions and thinks you are really kind, thoughtful and self effacing. Have a good Sunday in the garden

Awww Dusty what a lovely post and I can only echo exactly what you have said...Ani you truly are the loveliest and kindest person I have met too.

I hope you managed some time in the garden before all this rain started. Its torrential here but I managed to trim a couple of hedges and a few hours enjoying the autumn colours. Been baking shortbread this afternoon...house smells divine :D

    Have a great week.

ps...the chocolate plant is thriving and looking very happy in my cottage garden. :D

No answer to that one, either. Gawd. My self esteem is at an all time low. :o

Maybe i should say thanks, to both of you. xx

Torrential? Are you in the same country? :rotfl:

The rain held off until 5.00pm, despite the black clouds swirling around all afternoon. :D

So yes. Gardening done, but not finished. :o

    Food again?

    Where's mine? :D

The more you cut them back, the more they seem to like it. :D

I still wouldn't advocate leaving planted over winter. Did you leave it in the pot?

Some more gardening done today, but a long way off from where i want the garden to be. As fast as i am weeding, it grows back at almost the same rate. Pah.

On the plus side, i have some spuds. Yep. I actually managed to grow some perfect, ( haven't tasted them yet, ) spuds. I lost 3 which i'd left too long. On the other hand, it never stops raining. Not enough crop to get the combine harvester out, :rotfl: but enough to service a few otpots. I've only got a small garden. :rotfl: I wonder what happened to the two allotment sites i applied to? Hmmm. Duly planted the potatoes i've had hanging around for a while. Well, i was going to recycle them in the recycle bin, so no harm in planting them instead? We shall see.

The tomatoes are continuing to grow, and i probably have a dozen, between the various plants. The pepper plant has lots of babies, but i'm just waiting for them to shrivel up and fall off, again?

I've done so much weeding, i didn't get round to all the planting. It's all about preparation? Still. I've planted a variety of primroses, and, and? I'm not exactly sure what the other things were, but they only cost 20p each. The 20p plants? Didn't get round to planting the astilbe and chrysanthemum. Maybe it won't rain tomorrow? Pigs might fly?

The news of the decade is -

I have one tiny, tiny sweetpea flower, in purple.

Now, i wonder if i'll get enough to make a bunch, before it snows?

Hello stranger. Greetings xx :hello: :rotfl:

Congrats on your sig from me too. xx :T

    Happy. That's a strong word, i never use. :o

Probably more like balanced? Well, for a short time, at any rate.

At this point in time, i have enough income to cover any outgoings, bills, even food. Shocking, isn't it? I can afford to buy food, reasonably comfortably, now, although of course, i am still shopping as i've grown accustomed to. I only buy things when i need them, and live on a day to day, basis. Fresh items from the 10p shop, and the garden. I am finding it difficult to spend money, and i'm finding it even more difficult to treat myself, although i don't class the plants as treats. :o I think they are still therapy.

Today is a day of many callers. One down, 5 to go. At least the sparky has already been and gone. All electrics now in working order?

I would call the garden therapy too :)

Not been well this week and now knee strain is playing up and there's only sooo much housework I can do in one am when I'm not hyper.

Anyhow just catching up on posts. If you're not spending money on food you'll be loaded ani LOL so like you can afford that range rover you said you were going to buy me ;)
