Ah, Flylady. 'It didn't messy in a day, and it won't get tidy in a day either'. Wise woman. I remember the story sent in by a lady who could only stand for a minute at first, so that's how long her increments of time were to begin with, though she gradually built up her fitness as she conquered the things around her.

Anyhow, I didn't mean to come and talk Flylady, I was going to see how you are, Ani. Still in bed? Or out SC-hunting? My neighbours said yesterday that he'd never known a year like it for slugs (he's the sort of person who would be right about that)... so it's not just us who are invaded.

I bought a couple of dianthus a few days ago - end of season sale. Need to find a place for them now.

I don't know where to start, but i can't cope with the thought my neighbours and community can now identify me. The shame of them knowing what i've been through and what i'm still going through, is too much for me to cope with. I've tried to keep the shame of what i went through, a secret from this community. Maybe i'm over reacting, but at the same time, i have a long way to go. The anxiety attacks are getting worse. I can't function as a " normal " human being, and to me, this is something i can't cope with, as i've always been superhuman. I've never been in this sort of state prior to these last few years.

I am thinking about changing my username, but it is probably already too late. It is probably too late for everything. You have to seriously consider the implications of publishing very personal thoughts and information, in a very public place. Two years of keeping a diary. My god. How much has changed in that time? I am still on that same merry go round. My benefits have changed yet again, this week. As ever, they change on a weekly basis. I no longer have the energy to question or contest anything, anymore. I am now back to paying rent and council tax, although i don't understand why. I thought disability benefits, weren't counted as income, but they seem determined to make me pay, as ever. Who cares? I don't have the energy, anymore. It is now september, and that's a whole year of contesting benefits, rent, ct, tc, tax, and all the rest of it. I can't be *d anymore. I honestly can't. My health has always been at the bottom of a never ending pile, but the pile keeps refilling before i ever reach the bottom. Will i ever reach the bottom?

I probably wouldn't be where i am now, without the support of the few people who have read my diary, and who have offered support at crucial points, along the way. For which, i am eternally grateful, and i thank you from the bottom of my heart. There have been some true angels, on mse. In the garden, i now have two, tiny tomatoes, and those unusual gladioli, keep on growing and blooming, which i never expected.

Thanks for mf for finding that recipe for me. I must make sure i make an effort to copy, this time.

    With love to you all

    ani xx

    Hi Ani,

I don't really know what to say, except that I do understand your fears. You have to weigh up what is best for you.

I think it is the fact that so many of us are afraid to bare our souls, to others, that we remain isolated from each other, and your diary is a very courageous and inspiring and incredibly honest account of what the reality of being bankrupt, disabled and fighting horrendous bureaucracy is really like, it is utterly soul destroying and only the very strongest pull through, of which I believe you are one.

So many people like to think that these things could never happen to them and that there is always a silver lining, but the reality is, as you describe, that time and unforeseen circumstance befall us all and life in these circumstances is often a daily struggle for survival that can get incredibly wearing.

I am sure it has been amazingly comforting for many, who have read your diary, to know that they are not alone, and I believe this is a reason that you have described things as they really are, you wanted to help others.

You would be amazed how many of your neighbours are struggling, and would love to confide in somebody they could trust, you could be that person.

As you say your health is always at the bottom of the pile, which is understandable, but the reality is you have to make it your top priority.

Sending you much love, and every ounce of best wishes for the future. xxxx.

Ani hope you feel better soon...

Anyhow don't know what state it's in but I found my microwave cookbook the other day (1000 microwave meals) so if it's any use to you whilst you're getting the kitchen done let me know and I'll send it to you. No charge. :D. The microwave cook books were a godsend when I was getting my kitchen done. I personally think the older one is better but still....
