Yay to the alternator - something told me you wanted one. :)

    Wanted, needed or both? :o

    Not sure about that one.
Regarding other stuff (and because I'm too lazy to clear my inbox just yet), is there anything here that might be of use?
    That's great, thanks. xx

    Ani,

I was just wondering, where on earth do you manage to get bacon and food for 10p and 20p??

    Approx 150 miles south? ;)
    Pure Bargains!!!
Definitely. Today i had a total spend day of 30p. A bag of carrots, a bag of mushies and a bag of leeks. Boring stew again for the next few days, i'm afraid. Hot dog sausage stew, as that is the only thing i could find in this mess.

It's surprising how much more flavour a stew has with leeks instead of onions. :p

Today i have done too much and i'm shattered. I have ordered my wardrobe and i'm having it built and delivered, as i don't have a car to collect, nor the energy to build a wardrobe. It comes at a cost, of course, but never mind. I have cleared and cleaned the space ready. I have also packed some more of the kitchen, although " stuff " is slowly creeping its way back into the cupboards. It's a totally depressing living space, and i don't know how i'm ever going to have it all unpacked again. I can now no longer see from one end of my living room to the other. I have enquired about meals on wheels, but i no longer have the energy required to make it happen? Lots more phone calls i can't be bothered with. I shall just starve? There isn't even anywhere to cook in the living room, anyway. I also decided in my not so wisdom, to try and pursue all that council tax i've overpaid, which i shouldn't have paid at all, but i stand little chance of a rebate, as they have an answer for everything. The fact remains, they have received double the amount of council tax payments, both through benefits and myself. Cheeky blighters. I've forgotten how stressful these phone calls are, and how it takes it out of you. I no longer have the will to fight, but a rebate would come in useful for car repairs.

    That's me for today.

I posted earlier and I see it didn't get through! Sorry about that - though it was only to say goodnight and I hope you sleep well. :)

NL, are you really a chocolate fairy? You're always welcome here. :D

I am too tired to write today, but i was looking to identify my gladioli? and they are indeed, gladioli. ( peacock - orchids - big.)

I have a new found love affair with gladioli. I didn't realise there are so many varieties.

They are gorgeous - and I am in awe! I grew some a few years ago and got healthy leaves but we then had a very harsh winter which finished them off. :(

By harsh I mean -12C at times so not so likely to happen again soon.

Today is a beautiful day, and i feel down, for no apparent reason. I am getting progressively tired, and sleeping more. It has taken me all morning to go to the launderette. One chance comment from someone in there, " at least they are alive". Why do people say this? Why is it the be all and end all of everything, to be alive? What difference does it make? None whatsoever. I still cannot find a reason, purpose, or wish, to live.

I am now housebound for the fourth day in succession. I need to get out of here.
