Life after bankruptcy?

So much for buying a wardrobe today, as i've spent most of the day * ting around with ani. On the plus side, i've done some gardening, and planted, ( and paid for my new plants.) £9. That was todays spends. It's likely? to be an expensive week? I also planted my rain daisies, after which my neighbour told me they wouldn't survive the winter. It's says survives up to -5, but it can drop below that, quite easily here. I wasn't going to plant them. I must have had a brainstorm. My rain daisies are also chocolate coloured. Maybe i should take some cuttings or just dig them up in six weeks time, as suggested? That's if the sc's dont devour them first.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Looking for purple fleecy blankies now! Pm me your essential measurements. Inside leg and widest part of trunk, anything else you want... The innov is500 is five hundred quids worth of state of the art computerised sewing machine, which embroiders, monographs, quilts and makes coffee.
Ani, can you not get an alternator from a scrappy? I get car parts online it's much cheaper.
Ran a creative facilitation skills workshop today. Patchwork Recovery, much glueing and sticking of beautiful fabrics.. Feeling well chuffed xxxx
Lots of love to you all

Ani - there is a company near you who specialises in low cost lappies (£50 ish). I just have to remember where I saw the info about it ...
I have other cunning plans for purple trousers (hope they have elasticated legs to keep the warmth in) and kitchen equipment ... I used to work in a charity 'department store' which may be accessible to you
Recovery Dust - I like the sound of your workshop!!! Can I come to one pleeze?
Beanie - Happy belated birthday ... hope the weather oop North was better than the 'persistance' I had all bleeding weekend.

Ani, pm'd you.
I had never heard of rain daisies... off to look them up.
ETA - confused now. There are pics of some white ones which are known for being white (!) or off-white, hence not chocolate, and which are annuals so they wouldn't stay around for the winter anyway; though seeds, which have unusual fatty acids (ensuing unintelligible technical stuff) can be harvested in August (I got that bit).
There is also a type of crocus from South Africa.
I think I missed the right type of rain daisy. Is there a Latin name?

You don't seriously expect me to have a tape measure, do you? :rotfl::rotfl:Ani, can you not get an alternator from a scrappy? I get car parts online it's much cheaper. That's the trouble owning a car which ceased production, years ago.
Mind you, the ford sierra ceased production years ago, and how many of those do you see, nowadays? :rotfl:
How people get parts for vintage cars, i haven't a clue. It must cost a fortune.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

There is now rain in abundance for my rain daisies, but i'm now worried they are waterlogged, and i should have put more thought into where i planted them. Or not planted them at all. I don't want to lose them.
If they ( and i ,) survive, i will send you a cutting, miggy.
Ok, so you know how daft i am about this heap of metal, so new alternator has been ordered.£240, just for the alternator, but it is the only one to be found with a matching serial number to the one currently on the heap of metal. There was another available for £160, but that's not to say the part will be compatible, when it arrives. Add the belt? vat and labour , and this ani will go into heart failure. It has to be said,it was easier to find an alternator than a wm. I shall put warning signs on my wm's. " Do not venture within 3 feet of these heap of metal ". You have been warned. On balance the alternator was on par with the price of a wm. Which makes the wm's even more precious.
I will just have to rethink my " budget ", and how to most cost effectively do the essential bodywork repairs. Maybe do them myself? There's always a first time. Still, kitchens first. I know i need a car budget, even though i'm not supposed to save. I'm not even supposed to have a car. I can't afford one. And it's true. I can't afford one. However, i'm now " stuck " in this god forsaken place. Taxi? I suppose that's an option, and a safer one, at that.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Yay to the alternator - something told me you wanted one.
Regarding other stuff (and because I'm too lazy to clear my inbox just yet), is there anything here that might be of use?
It's absolutely bucketing down here... if I thought I could sleep I'd just go back to bed. So dark I actually need the light on.
The lovely rain daisies have a lot to answer for.Miggy
