Ok. I have received my payment, today. I'm pretty numb, to be honest. No jumps for joy, not even relief. Just numb. Never mind. It's been a crusade, for so long, it's almost, i can't explain.

Today has been a busy day, and today's payment hasn't lasted long. It's all been spent / an allocated spend. A shocking amount of money, straight on bills. For the first time in an eternity. Ne'er mind. Car insurance - check, breakdown insurance, ( a must,) - check, contents insurance - check, tv licence - check, birthday card - check........:rotfl::rotfl:My one " extravagance " and the only " luxury " item, i've bought. A birthday card. :p I've bought nothing for myself, per se. No shopping spree. Not even a food shop, except 6 eggs, a bag of spring onions, and a bag of carrots, all for 10p each, this morning.

Tomorrow is another day? when i do have some money in my pocket, and believe me, that money will be spent incredibly wisely. If you like cars, that is? Road tax due september,( i'm counting down the years,) essential bodywork repairs on an otherwise mot fail, and before you know where you are, a large proportion will be spent on ani. It's still a bone of contention, with even my conscience, being able to afford to run a car. However, it's always been the case, in my mind, that once ani has gone, to some extent, so am i. Aside from which, it's horrendously expensive to run a car, nowadays. And nothing could ever replace ani, to me. Except maybe that trimph herald vitesse, i saw the other day? :rotfl:What a beaut. :D Wow.

So, yes. Older cars need maintenance and parts replacing, but i was watching the vw ads and thinking, how much does the cheapest new car cost to purchase these days? 7k? I'll never have that sort of money, and if i did, i wouldn't buy a brand new car with it. I've never owned a brand new car in my life....:rotfl:Just think of all that money it's depreciated, the minute you drive it out of the showroom. :D

I'm off on a bit of a rant there. Maybe i'm trying to justify to everyone, including myself, spending a whole lot of money on a heap of metal. But that heap of metal, will infinitely enhance my life, for now, and i shouldn't care what anyone thinks, including myself?

Yes, still live from day to day? Maybe tomorrow it will sink in?
Must remember to keep receipts. My life still isn't my own. :o I still don't have a life? I still don't know the purpose of life. Is there ever a way back from the brink?

I truly hope this is the turning point you deserve to have.

    Best of luck.
