Another day in paradise or hell?

No payment received. Just because you are entitled to benefits, doesn't mean you are ever going to receive them. It's eight months, now. It's still my gut feeling i'll be lucky to receive any additional benefits, this year, ( i was going to say this side of xmas, but i won't mention xmas.) There we go, did it again.

There's nothing more i can do. I've made my daily phone calls. Yet another week of phone calls? Still trying to sort insurance, thanks to stupid wm incident. How i regret calling the insurance company. Note to self. Have no contact with insurance companies except when absolutely necessary. I'm going to end up in * st soon anyway, as i don't currently have enough money to cover the insurance. You'd have thought i'd have learnt by now, wouldn't you? On the plus side, i called my energy supplier who said my bills are low. Well that's what i would have thought. Well below average. I try not to use energy. They have put me on a new tariff, age uk, which means i save another 4%, which makes a total saving of 7% on my bill, in all, and a reduction in the price per unit. Every little helps? I also qualify for a cold weather payment of £10, along, hopefully with the enquiry i originally asked about. They have also said i may qualify for help with a cooker or washing machine. Now, i find this out. I may well need help with another washing machine, as it will be almost a year since my washing machine has been used. All these little known benefits. I also receive a free gift, ( i nearly said g*t, there.) They have their uses? I'm so worried about money again. Only four days until i receive my esa, but there's only so far an elastic band will stretch. I keep forgetting the tv licence, too.

The launderette now has no washing machines in working order. I don't understand the business acumen of the owner. Surely it pays to have all your wm in working order? Maybe i missed something, there? I now have to find another launderette within a 10 - 20 mile radius of here? Which means difficulties with transportation. On the plus side, i bought a huge bag of almost perfect mushies for 10p. I was going to make pasta with pesto. Now i will make pasta, pesto and mushies.

And on that note, i will do some gardening, whilst the sun is shining, ( albeit briefly.)

What can i say? You'll wait forever with esa. With everything, for that matter, and yes, it's the worst stress to cope with, when you are already ill. xx

Brown and white letter day. Have dwp made a mistake? Their letter says payment will be received by the 21st. Isn't that tomorrow. Is it? Is it? Jeez. 8 months. You could almost have a baby by now.

Another of those gobbledegook letters from the council, which you need a degree to understand. What happened to plain english? It doesn't actually say, the words you try and glean from the information given. But i think it says i am now, finally , in receipt of full hb and ctb? Who knows?

Dusty, I understand less than nothing about benefits but is a {{hug}} any good to you? Really hope they get their act together soon hun.

Of course it does your head in. They should send you a special box to dump all the worries, only of course the box wouldn't arrive till after the DWP got its act together, and when it did it would be taxable. :(

Ani, sorry I missed the poetry. :) Good stuff from both of you and lots to ponder. I guess you already know where I stand on this one. :)

The 21st is indeed tomorrow, and I don't think councils do plain English, any more than they do good English. :D I worked for one, I know these things. ;)

    Any progress with the garden?

I'd forgotten about the bad english. Par for the course? ( i'll probably get thrown off mse for saying that.)

    Any progress with the garden?
3 hours worth, and a full wheelie bin later? Must do better? Still, it's an improvement. Unfortunately i haven't done any emptying of the kitchen. I can't do everything. At least the gardening is somewhat therapeutic, and the time miraculously flies.

Tomorrow is the culmination of the great benefit debacle. Months and months of it. It's already been established they owe me a rent rebate. It's ominously quiet on the subject of council tax rebates. :( I've yet to get my head round sitting down and working how much i am actually owed on both counts. I quite honestly cannot be bothered, no longer have the energy. How many times have i said that? :o
