You and me both. This time I won't list the stuff discovered in the cleaning cupboard...

It's very odd. I found some odd cornish gingerbread biscuits, actually bought in cornwall? I decided now, would be a good time to sample, (and very nice they were, too.) :D

Ok, i ended up spending money today, after all. Since i had the veg slow cookering, i decided i fancied some real meat, something i haven't had for ages. One trip to the supermarket later, and how could anyone go into a supermarket and come out with one purchase? One cooked chicken and 3 quid spent. I feel another one coming on, this week, whilst they are still on offer. I didn't even know they were on offer. I've just had my tea. What a real treat.

The kitchen is somewhat emptier and the living room is rather full, or should i say, a mess? Where to store next, bathroom? I really don't want to store / fall over things in the bathroom. Which reminds me, i had another fall today, and a piece out of my wrist, this time. Jeez. I should stop thinking about cars, until i've stopped thinking about kitchens. Which reminds me. I've done nothing about the cooker. I daresay i'll forget, again.

The chicken sounds delicious: in fact those ready-roast chickens are really good. Did you noticed that some supermarkets do value packs of sage & onion stuffing for 15p which goes really well in chicken sandwiches too? Just saying. :)

Sorry to hear about your wrist. I have some spare bandages if that's any help? I hope it heals up soon. Are you still having problems with your ankle? That was a nasty fall, too. :(
Despite my ocd over a heap of metal,

Sshhh! You'll upset her feelings!

I'm not sure if that should be allowed in a competition for the oddest thing found in a kitchen? Especially when it sounds a lot like eating the prize before it's been awarded?! However, as I found nothing more interesting than a manky fire blanket (I wonder if it can be washed?), I think you win.:)

Yes, but i thought you had to bake the stuffing in an oven? Maybe not.The chicken was delicious. Several days worth of chicken. :)

My wrist wasn't THAT bad, fortunately. :o My ankle is on the mend, thanks. :)

I've slept until 8 am again today. Gosh. Another payday, and i'm starting to think wardrobes. Only cheap ones, mind. I had a look the other day, and they were an astonishing price in "normal" shops. I've seen one i like in phlebs shop, and it's cheap, so maybe i'll stop pontificating, and go for it. Erecting it, is another matter. It's almost 40 years since i've bought flat pack furniture. :rotfl:I still feel guilty about everything i buy, and spending money. I'm actually now in the realms of having problems spending money and feelings of guilt? More especially when it's taxpayers money? Still. At least i'm not going to buy a 50 inch 3D tv? Now there's a thought? No. Definitely not. :rotfl:It's amazing how much calmer having some money in your pocket, can make you feel. Yes, i've still debts which have to be paid, and i'm still insolvent, but i still can't believe i can cover my outgoings? For now, at any rate. It's going to get bad again, but i don't do futures. Maybe i should have a look at mattresses, too? Garden shed? This place will be getting too much like a home instead of a squat? Dya know, things would have been so different if they had been sorted sooner. No point in looking back? Day to day.

There are advantages to flat pack wardrobes but cheaper and easier to assemble are the ones which are a framework covered in canvas, and cheaper still are the clothes rails that the miggy household is so experienced with. These do not cope well with a very heavy load. ;)

The stuffing - you can bake it but if you make it up with boiling water you get a non-crispy version, which is quite safe to eat and surprisingly nice too. JMO. :)

Have a good day; don't feel too bad about 'taxpayers' money', after all we all benefit from it in one way or another, and if it just sits there doing nothing it's not doing you any of the good it is intended for.

  • Wardrobes, round here the old wooden ones go for a song like a tender in second hand shops, gum tree and free cycle. We have a canvas one at the moment, but got my eye out for a double door wooden old style wardrobe

Please don't feel ad about spending the money you deserve on the things you need and want.. A good mattress is a priority, as is a car xxxxx

So I go away for a few days and it's all action on here :) Glad your money finally came through Ani, such a long fight for it. I wish I had a 10p shop like yours near me, it sounds fab (most I seem to find is a 30p loaf of bread up ours) dinner sounds lovely, oddly I do a roast chicken as a treat for us sometimes - enjoy. Not sure if there's any kind of butchers near you, but I had pork cheeks while I was away, and if you can get them cheap I recommend them slow cooked - more like lamb in consistency and quite a lamby taste too, deff wouldn't have thought it was pork if i didn't know (hmmm, perhaps they just served us lamb stew? :rotfl:)

Take care of yourself, we don't want any more lumps knocked out of you.

Gotta run - long few days so trying to give my eyes a break from the laptop x big hugs x
