Ani I'm just popping in you send you a hug, I feel a bit useless that it's all I can offer when this stupid system is letting you down so badly but I hope you'll accept it all the same. xxFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Sorry if anyone has already said this and I haven't read the whole of your post but have you tried the Salvation Army or YMCA for a new mattress as we donated all one of my Granny's furniture (some of it pretty new) when she moved into a care home and I think they give it to people in need.
The other thing was do you need a single or double mattress and roughly what area do you live in? My cousins spend their lives moving in with people and breaking up and I think there may be some random furniture at my other Granny's House which isn't wanted although not sure exactly what is there but I can find out.
A double mattress please, ( i don't ask for much, do i?) Wardrobe?
Its still a bit pointless acquiring more furniture when i intend to get rid of it.
Gawd. Could you imagine having a new mattress?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

I feel slightly rejuvenated, this evening, as i literally dragged myself out for the walk. Its been a real struggle. My sense of balance has got so much worse, and lots of styles and mud in abundance. However, i made it, and 2.67 miles later, is 2.67 miles more than i would have achieved if i hadn't gone. Its grand, walking in the evenings.
Wro completed the esa 50 for me today. I've no idea what they wrote, didn't look at the completed form. so long as it gets me benefits, who cares? Hopefully, its looking as though i may get another 3 months off work, but maybe i shouldn't tempt fate, by hoping, since everything seems to go horrendously wrong. Its odd. I'm still talking about plans and trying to do things, but i almost have two separate lives, with two different sets of plans.
Nowadays, in the real world, i keep my other set of plans to myself, these days.

Its one of those mornings when you wake up and cry. I've got a massive headache. How have i got into this situation again? The advisor at the *** yesterday asked, didn't you get rid of all your debts when you went bankrupt? God. That seems an eternity ago. Wasn't it a fresh start? I've now got to pay to travel to my bank today, which i can't afford, to plead with them to give me my benefits. I suppose the pdl company is laughing. They got their money, but the whole affair has lost me my banking facilities, as i now owe the bank instead. The debt has been transferred to someone else, at the cost of my banking facilities. There's a lesson to be learned for anyone who is thinking of using a pdl company.
How have i got into this situation? I guess because i'm on such a low income. Or was. Still are. Isn't it d day tomorrow? Final day for my p60's. I haven't received anymore, but i'm sure i must still be short? My income for last year is still only coming in around £6k. Plus i've paid tax to the tune of £!k - £1 half k, on that amount, leaving me with an income of £5k, plus a small amount of wtc. It isn't possible to live on this amount of money. I guess i've done well to only incur £1k's worth of debt along the way, in this past two years. Its funny, looking at other threads and you realise people put food on the top of any list, before debt repayment. Food is always non existent on my list. I still don't have a food budget, and i'm still probably only surviving on a fiver a week, as most of my food i buy reduced, and much of it costing 10p. Thank god for the local shop. Which reminds me, i've a salad bar in seeds which i have to plant? I've some peppers now, too. Can i be bothered? What is the point? I got the seeds cheap. Its far cheaper than buying the fresh salad stuff, itself. So what. I suppose i've now acquired another £1k of debt to the council, since i've been off sick ,in terms of rent and council tax i've not had the funds to pay. I wonder if they are still proceeding with serving the notice, despite everything thats been said? Does it really matter? Its getting more and more difficult to be proactive. Even though i don't see it that way, i guess i've still been fighting, to some extent, but i'm on one of those downward spirals again. Do i have the will or strength to control it? I've the urge to go on a b*. I just want to obliterate everything. Obliterate everything thats happening. Yes. I already know thats what i'm going to do. On the one hand, you do this. On the other, you do that. I just feel the need to escapeDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Yesterday was another of those days when i didn't manage to beat the system. Is that the phraseology?
Met a new entity yesterday. The JCP. Its my first real dealings with them. They were supposed to call on when? thursday. They didn't. They were supposed to call before 10 am on friday morning. They didn't. I called them, but you seemingly can't call them and speak to them. You have to arrange another call back. They were supposed to call between 11 and 12am. They didn't. In the meantime, i'm trying to stop my benefits, which are already on their way into my bank account. With much grovelling at the bank, i've managed to have my esa paid to me, but i'm now grossly overdrawn on both accounts. Another debt to add to the list.
I decided to be proactive, and whilst i was out at the bank, went to the po to investigate this " account ", to have my benefit paid into, as both bank accounts are now frozen. They directed me to jcp. Got a most helpful advisor, i have to say, whilst i try and receive my benefit by giro, ( which are stopping, apparently.) They told me to ring dwp again. Dwp told me i had another two and a half hours to wait for my call, as it had now been escalated to a team leader. But why can't you just deal with me whilst you are talking to me now? Oh no. You have to wait to be called back? :rotfl: Guess what? I missed the bloody call, ( sometimes my phone doesn't ring, or there's no signal, ) and i had snotty message left on my voicemail, saying i should answer my phone. I can't afford to ring an 0845 number back on my mobile for half an hour, so therefore nothing has been resolved. All i want is my benefit paid by giro, and for them to send whatever it is they send so i can get this cash card thingy at the po.
JEEZ
Its a different world. The system and bureaucracy.
