I thought I had the hang of it (sort of) once you'd explained dwp to me... now I see I haven't. JCP? I think I will have to revert to the polite smile and hope nobody asks me any questions.

You've obviously had a rubbish time trying to sort the giros: I hope they eventually not only ring when they say they will, but the phone works and you can sort things out (and not on your phone bill).

How did today go? I'd imagine not a lot happening on the benefits front.

I no longer have much to say. There's that part of me which has been tormented whilst i've been holding off from what i want to do, whilst i know i have the appointment at ***, the appointment i've waited so long for. I don't know what they will do, as i've sat down yesterday and looked at my incomings and outgoings, and there simply isn't enough money in the pot. There's not enough money for food and debt repayments. I can barely cut back anymore than i have already. I already sit here in the cold, as i daren't use the heating, i sit here in the dark, so i don't use the electricity. Its already been commented on, the fact i sit here in the dark. I'm not using my washing machine or a cooker. Thinking about it, i can't afford to go to the launderette, anymore. I suppose i'll have to get rid of my phone, which includes broadband, and i can stop watching tv, ( which i suppose, is my only form of entertainment.) Ani will definitely have to go. What else could i cut back on? Oh, fresh air, huh?

I suppose i'll be expected to start paying my rent this week? and my ct is due. There's also the not so small matter of all the rent and ct arrears, which will now have to be paid. I suppose, its taken so long to pay esa, i'll be due for an increase, soon, after 13 weeks, i believe. Gosh, i'll be positively rich. Another £20 a week, which will go toward my debts.

All in the name of bureaucracy, and someone who can't push a stop button on a computer.

I guess there's much debate as to why people arrive at the place where i am. Do they really want to? or is it simply a question of wanting your situation to end? I guess, for me, its a combination of both. I hate myself and there's no solution, or should i say, resolution, to my situation. I read last night, it takes the average person between 8 and 25 attempts. Of course, you can't believe everything you read, but i can well believe it, because of the inherent will to survive, no matter what.

God, i can't wait until tomorrow lunchtime.

Don't do anything stupid Ani, I've been following your thread for a few days now and I can see why it all seems hopeless, but tomorrow is always another day and in a year or so you could well be looking back at this bad time in your life and its all resolved. Nothing is worth giving up on the precious gift that is life, all problems pass, nothing is forever.

argh! the 'system' makes me so angry Ani, that it can leave honest, decent and hard working people like you in the situation you are in, yet throw cash willy nilly at people who take the proverbial out of it and openly admit so  Sorry, guess my rant doesn't exactly help you though x

I just wanted to drop in to say I am here and reading, and thinking of you. Here's a wee mug of EG :coffee: (is it right to serve EG in a mug?) for you, I'm threatening to cook some banana loaf later and would offer to drop some round, but given my baking skills can be a bit hit or miss it might not be a welcome offering :o xx

ps now where is that hanging basket you promised me? my hook is still looking empty :p

    Thanks sw xx

Life is a burden most of us have to bear, ( or some of us.)

I heard this quote said somewhere this week, i can't remember where.

" Life is what happens while you're waiting for something else "

I must admit i was reading a thread yesterday, about similar, but i refrained / couldn't be bothered to post.

A mug is fine, thanks. I'm not THAT posh.

I still don't have enough hooks. You may come and collect all the hanging baskets, if you wish. I did offer them to miggy, but she said no. Some of them are starting to flower, now. In fact everything is growing like wildfire. Even the first lot of sweet pea shoots need planting outside, now. They are getting trellis worthy. I'm trying to plant the rest of the seeds, today, bar the salad bar, as i have no need for it. They say its funny how you keep doing " normal " stuff, but i did have it in mind to finish the seeds this week. Someone will have a beautiful garden, when they move in here, ( thats unless kerri and miggy have helped themselves, first.)

Back to it. I've only come on tinternet to obtain all the "stuff " i need for the meeting, and to get info about various bouncing dd's. Want to cut my hair today too, ( i've been doing it for years to save money.) How good is that?

Oh god, i can't stop laughing at that one, thats sooooooo funny :rotfl::rotfl:

And reading a thread on another board worries me too, as you realise the or could yet have the final laugh. Wouldn't that just be the last kick in the teeth? :rotfl:

On the positive side, i've got everything ready for tomorrows appt, and both the wro and myself were correct in thinking there IS nil income. And i've not even included a food budget on my soa, as ever :rotfl: Of course, i haven't included ani, either :rotfl:Or a tv, for that matter :rotfl:

BUT, i've potted some more seeds, ( will finish the rest tomorrow,) and pampered myself, so i'm as i want to be. Not sure what to do with the seeds. I never got on top of the weeding, as i've been busy planting. Will have to leave them outside, so the poor things get watered. The good news is, i didn't but any more seeds or plants, in over a week. Awwww, never got my lily of the valley. Never mind.

What do they say about insanity? :rotfl:

Right, I'm coming over after my dinner for one of those baskets then as I have hook but no basket (although whoever put the hook up actually put it upside down)

(most of) my tomato plants are hanging in there - still looking a bit weedy but I hear we're going to have our summer this week so hopefully they'll come on a bit - either than or shrivel in the sun  if you could start off your salad then I'll trade you some toms when / if I get some :D

will be thinking of you tomorrow xx
