What happened to the doctor who you saw the other week? Are they on holiday?

A year's sick note doesn't mean you are going to get worse, it means you need that long to recover to the point where you can work. If you can't get a year from the locum, would they give you three months or even a month?

£200 for gas and electricity doesn't sound right. Perhaps the meter's at fault? I think you can have it tested, though if it's okay they then charge you for testing (which doesn't sound right to me - surely everyone can have it checked just in case it's wrong? So many people - like me - don't get it tested because of the potential cost). I wonder if anyone else here knows how that works?

Can CT liaise with the sw and find out what's happened to your forms? And if you speak to them, you can tell them you are finding it difficult to cope with more than one person visiting and could things be channeled through one or two people? I don't know if that would always be possible but they must surely have case conferences sometimes when they could try to work something out.

Too many questions in one post... sorry. The flash mob is still at the ready. They are the ones practising giving the sw a kicking.

Yet again I am at a loss as to what to say TBH.
Why have the social work dept not handed in forms?
Can you speak to duty social worker & try to get them to sort it out?
Go back to the Dr's and see another Dr & get a sick note.
The locum had ovviously not read your notes.Grrrrr.

Hey Ani, I just wanted to stop by and give you a hug, I'm not going to waffle in my usual way (hey, I heard you muttering 'thank goodness for that' ;)) because I think right now you just need a shoulder and a hug...or carp, i'm waffling again :o xxxx

(and yes, energy bill deff doesn't sound right , ours was £250 for two of us Jan - March, and OH will insist on using the heating from time to time)

Well miggy, i wasn't reading this but i was up at some unearthly hour, the previous night. In fact, i was in quite an unearthly place, but maybe your thoughts were communicated, all the same.

There's no easy way to write this post. I can't continue as i am, because this no way to live. Or die. Its been bad this week. Twice in one week. The ctn yesterday said they didn't know how i'd survived. I don't either. I'm very thorough with my research. Why don't i use the ultimate solution? because the part of my head which says its not fair to endanger others. I do realise that, but when do you get to that point? I'm bordering on becoming public nuisance no 1. Well thats what it feels like. I don't want to be a pita to public services. Its not socially acceptable. The community must wonder what's going on, or that i'm a freak. That part of my head tells me that. But daft though it sounds, i know i'm of sound mind. Even the ctn yesterday said, i don't think you have a mental health problem. PHEW. At least we are in agreement about something.

I think i realise now, i've got to start accepting any help that's being offered. I'm being told other people have to take control of my life for now. Not an easy thing to do, huh? Especially for someone who has to do everything themselves? If you want something doing how you want it done, then do it yourself? Its a far better option to have people in control of my life on the outside, being in the community, than being sectioned for a long period of time. I know, and probably, i hope, the support teams know, i don't belong in that sort of environment. That would just be the end of my brain, too. Complete destruction of a different kind.


I don't honestly know what will happen next time. Its a long road, and although i'm logical today and wish i could say there won't be a next time, but deep down i know i've got to let those who need to know, know, so they can prevent. Isn't that just the biggest step of all time?

hugs ani. I have no answers/solutions/magic recommendations for you. I can say don't do it, but as you feel there is nothing left for you, and you are choosing to do it. It doesn't mean much.
