McDonalds, then? Nah... I see you behind a nice bar somewhere, though. You would be great with the customer relations bit. I'm sure some of us could be persuaded to increase the takings...
Off to sleep in a bit, thanks for asking.
I get to wear a cap, yippee
Mmmm I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream :rotfl:Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

OKay. I've been to the chippy. It was closed, but theres no longer an advert in the window. Thats a shame. In seriousness, they did'nt even bother to give me a call. C'est la vie.
The odd job is creeping in, at the moment, and i suppose one days work a week is marginally better than being on jsa or whatever. But its a long way from sustaining a roof above my head.
More investigation into hb, today, gives the realisation hb is not a possibility whilst i live here, and in reality would mean instant eviction. Thats just the way it is, with some people, and who could blame them? since i , indeed, can't afford the rent.
I wanted to see the programme on landlords, last night, but missed it, due to my neighbour. I don't mind. Its rather sad when someone so elderly, would like to sit out at night, but is too frightened or does'nt have the confidence, to do this, alone. They wanted to do it again. No probs with me, if i'm not working. Bless. People are more important than anything else, are'nt they?
I was also talking to someone yesterday. Straight out, said they were bankrupt and had lost their business, and in the middle of having their house repossessed. A real life person. They never thought they'd end up as they are. Quite. I can't describe how it feels to hear some one else describes the feelings you've had to endure yourself. So is'nt it bound to make anyone feel the same? Not just me. Weird, hearing some one else describe the emotions. I'm sure its more widespread than you think, but we live in a soceity of denial. Few can express how they are really feeling.
Maybe spend more time tomorrow, targeting jobs i'm only interested in. I have a short attention span. I get bored, easily. Its got to be interesting, or different / unusual, whatever. Or even something i have a passion, for. Actually, i like the job i have. I think somehow, i'll have to sit this one out. Is it worth, sitting this one out?
Sorry about the chippy job.
You're so right we do live in a society of denial. People don't talk about how they really feel and if you ask you get fobbed off. Seems to me people really hate talking about money even if you're good friends. It's a shame because having someone to talk to particulary if you're in debt is so important. Hence the sucess of this forum I guess.
Can you stay with the job you have if you like it? Any chance of enough work soon? You need some money from somewhere.
It's jobs night in our local paper tomorrow - I'll see what there is. used to be a 1000 job a week now it's more like 200.
I'll look for something unusual or different for you0 -
Cynical today or what? Such cynicism will get me, nowhere. Some people don't know how lucky they are. This is for sure. Is it luck? Or is it planning?
Ok, So i should ' do ' some cleaning today, but i could still ' do ' with resting. What a waste of time, that was. My body is breaking down, and irrepairable. Pah to getting old, it sucks
Today. Look for jobs? Yeah right. Theres 1000's out there saying here i am, waiting for you. But i shall seriously investigate the sphere of travel and / or the yachting, tack. There must be a way in, somehow. I should check out car insurance, too, as my insurance is due soon, for renewal, although i've now been seriously considering selling my car, to raise capital which i desperately need. But i've always said, once that car has gone, thats it. I won't bother with another car, and its true. I won't buy another car, once ani has gone. The cost of running ANY car, is extortionate, and i can no longer afford it. But the fact still remains, without car = no job, and in real terms the cars value is low. I noticed another rust spot, last week, making two patches, now. Needs sorting, but theres still no cash to spend on ani, save getting through the mot.
Ah well. A day on tinternet, for me. If anyone has any ideas?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Do look round for an insurance quote. We just renewed ours and they wanted to put it up £20 a month. Found a company that would insure for the same amount as last year.
Yeah, car's are expensive and I'm not sure how long we'll have ours really. It's not essentail and if it fails it's MOT big time well who knows?
I could do with doing some cleaning too. But, as Quentin Crisp (if I remember correctly) said "After 6 months the dust doesn't get any worse".

Ani26, I think you are feeling run down because you are still psychologically and emotionally scarred from the events of last Autumn. When I was young I had a friend who used to say that all illness is from stress - except clap, that is (and being a medical doctor I did believe him). You keep telling me to chill - now I will have to say the same to you. I doubt you need 'rest' but I am convinced that you need to find a way to relax.
I can't say what this may be: for me what works best is do think about the situation, find the weak spots and do something about these. Anything but paralysis does it for me. Does it work? Well sometimes it does - sometimes it makes the situation worse. Life has a way to sort itself out; I just don't have the patience to wait for it.
You have to make sure that your actions, particualrly the ones aimed at reducing expenditure, do not damage your ability to work in the future.
Take care and act; now!

Ooooops, hello firewalker :hello:
I tend to agree, illness originates from stress, and could account for the changes in my body throughout intense stress.
I'm not at the top of the list when it comes to patience either, although i'm gaining a more laid back approach, in my maturity.
Ok, i'm acting, now. Its easy to look from the outside in, but its more difficult to look from the inside, out? Yes, i do try to be as chilled about as many things as i possibly can, ( though it may not seem like it )
So i'll throw you a challenge fw. Theres a few places i've been thinking of visiting for many years. This i can do for the princely sum of £1.30. So how about you join me tomorrow, and we can both take a chill pill, together?
Now theres an offer you can't refuse. Don't you dare say you have a list of things to do tomorrow, or a large frog to eat :rotfl:Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
