Are you logged into my computer? :p
No, it's just great minds thinking alike. :D Actually I did wonder if I was being a bit cheeky as I know you've been very thorough with your research and you must have heard of it - but you never know.

Ever thought of doing Support Work? As you area 'giving' type of person it might suit you - but it's not for everyone. Many places are willing to providetraining (NVQ) so attitude is more important than qualifications.

I've been through all the local newspapers, newsagents etc, but theres nothing that does'nt require a qualifaication i don't have. I've looked at companies i'd be interested in working for. How much positivity, can anyone find?

This si where barefaced cheek comes in. About 4 or 5 years ago I applied for a job requiring a typing qualification which I didn't have - but I reckoned I could do it. I checked what I could do against the qualification and found I actaully exceeded the requirements. My computer went down and my application was late but I rang them up and explained and they interviewed me - and I worked for them about 2.5 years.

I know the job market is very different now but some employers regard qualifications as a guideline not a prerequisite. A very large employer near me has just stopped asking for GCSEs which at first seems a bit mad but they realised it discriminates against all those of us who didn't study under the GCSE system but are otherwise emminently employable. So don't let them tell you otherwise! (Miggy gets off the soap box and reverts to normal Jack Russell behaviour).

Anyway. Its that time of the day when i'm so tired, i'm falling asleep,( i did ask about this yesterday, but i have to make a seperate appointment).

I know that feeling SO well! I can't guarantee it's the same condition I have but if it is, it's so easy to fix. Here's hoping. Sorry about the jab though, it sounds awful.

Needless to say, i'm still here trawling through jobs, ( in different areas, too ). Found one i've taken the phone numner for, and yes, i'm a real people person, ( believe it or not ). But sometimes, you can give too much of yourself to other people. Yes. I've visited the site many times.

I've just been outside and saw a neighbour who asked how my jab went? I think their reaction says it all - OH MY GOD, ( in capital letters ).

I've woken up slightly after the fresh air. Back to job, trawling, ( actualy i would'nt mind being a fisherperson). Delivering yachts, is another one, i have'nt looked into, recently, as i was up to my ears in debt and commitment with debt, the last time i looked into it.

Somehow, i don't think i'm ever going to get a conventional job. House sitting is another job i've thought about :rotfl:

    thanks hun.

Well you did say to me you were capable of thinking outside the box and using your head.

So good luck with your job search. With that headset on, you are bound to find something non conventional!

If needs must, you could do something like avon, betterware? but I must admit the money is not as good as they claim!

I did Betterware for a while, also delivered a magazine called Candis - there was a lot of walking involved! However, it was a good way to get recognised and meet people. I wasn't in a position to put in the hours to make money butI think there will be threads about it on here somewhere.

    yes know all about Candis!

actually it was said very tongue in cheek. they are all pyramid selling but dressed up as something else, forget the initials, MPL ? or something like that.

at the end of the day someone much higher than you is actually making all the money and you earn a little. I know all about the avon rep who makes, x amount of money and has been in the papers, etc but it is the reality behind it all, that makes you realise how much money, hours, etc is put into it.

Someone on the avon thread worked out they were working for 5p an hour.

No,i've completely forgotten about the printer. :p

I must admit, thats what started me contemplating the fact i'm still in debt, in a general way.

I've had enough for job hunting for one day. There's nothing i can get my teeth into. They are all temporary or p/t jobs. Are there any employers willing to take on staff full time, these days. Its just a ploy to make sure the employee has very few employment rights. One of the large supermarkets around here are advertising lots of jobs, all at 8 hours / 16 hours per week. One company is even advertising a job at £3.64 - £6. 00 an hour. Surely that can't be right / illegal? On a government website, too. Mcd's are advertising, too. Do you think they employ errr, mature people. That would be a hoot. They are an equal opportunities employer, are'nt they?

Maybe i'll look at the yacht delivery idea again. Thats much more me :rotfl:
