today has not been good, but did manage to get some work done for next week.

Am worried though that DS will not be allowed back to nursery on monday, as his scabs are not falling off. I need to be back in the office, as there are things I need to do, and make phonecalls.

Ani, enjoy your bacon sarnie :D Yumm!

I have contacted someone about pension info, will let you know.

Well done for getting something done against the odds, Aesop. There are a few days before Monday, so here's hoping the scabs come lose by then. What are the odds that there's an outbreak of chicken pox at nursery sometime soon anyway? Of course if that happens you won't be worrying about it.

Would it help for you and you OH to take time when you aren't in the middle of juggling work to discuss what you actually need him to do and what he is doing to sabotage it? He didn't choose well (IMHO!) by getting into a discussion late at night when no one is at their best and you wre trying do get on with something else.

How dare you! :p Now I want one.

Sorry about the 3am start, I shouldn't be awake but if I am, I will think of you.

That has got to be THE best bacon toastie, on the planet. £1.85 well spent. I'll look forward to the next time i visit. You can purchase a cup of tea or coffee for 50p, and fish and chips for £2.50. The fish does'nt come any fresher, but i never fancy fish and chips for breakfast. I even had some luvverley sunshine. Strange, when everyone else said it rained, yesterday. Just got a small pocket of sunshine. The perfect breakfast.

Yesterday i was very tired, as i only slept for an hour or two, as i'm always conscious, of being late. There is no such thing as being late, so instead i set three alarms. After what turned into a marathon of sorting paperwork at home in the afternoon, ( i'm not quite sure why it took me four hours). Anyway, i'm all up to date again. How i wish i had a job, where you went home, and that was it. Still. Maybe you'd spend your evenings worrying about office politics, instead. So, it was an early night, for me.

I've got the day from hell today, and its got to be said, i'm not looking forward to it.I know exactly what its going to be like. Horrendous. Just have to get on with it as best as you can, keep smiling, and keep your sense of humour. Forever smiling, thats me.

There is an outbreak at the nursery Miggy, which is why they are not keen on him coming back and reinfecting everyone. But he caught his from his friends out of nursery. His friend's mum called me the other day to apologise especially as she knew it meant I couldn't work. But we are going to see them today, as DS is fed up of being in the house, at least there we can play in peace without worrying of infecting anyone else.

Getting mixed messages about what is and is not safe.

DS has started itching the ones around his waist, and scratching the scabs off, so they must be ready to come off.

I won't even try to explain about DH!

he has found a permanent job advertised in a nice Hotel in London. He is going to apply for it today, hope he gets it, closing is not for 2 weeks. It will be his first permanent job, not as a self employed person. Will be worth it, if he gets paid holidays, small pension, etc.

some people have a 9 to 5 monday to friday job, go home at the end of the day and are still working. Or have no job satisfaction. or hate their jobs because of office politics, drunk managers, etc.

Although, it must be really hard for you, no paid holidays, having to work 7 days a week just because the work is there.

chin up and hope today hasn't been too hard.

You're doing it again - I think I want one for lunch - if the kids have left any bacon...! Doesn't quite come up to eating on the sea front but never mind. Actually that whole day sounded pretty good. We got the rain that missed you. :D

How did you guess? I don't thnk I have the discipline to work fro myself though, and according to DH (who is probably right) I need to get out and see people. I suppose there are pros and cons to any job.

:( to the horrendous day. I hope it's got some silver lining somewhere. Am sending you a virtual Earl Grey, steaming hot and fragrant, to cheer you up. :coffee: Voila.

I just had a thought - maybe they should have a 'bring your real self to work' day, like 'bring your child' or 'dress down Friday'. That would create some interesting situations! Better still if you could combine all three. :rotfl:Oh, I am evil. ;)

Surprisingly, today was'nt as bad as anticipated, though still very tiring. Not long been home and just having a quick half hour, before i go to bed, so i can do it all again, tomorrow.

Hope work is'nt too bad tonight, miggy. Any of the three above would have been a definite no, no, for today. One breath out of place is enough to lose you the job, and i've been doing it a very long time, for good reason. I think its called, walking on eggshells, you just have to watch your back, but i still enjoy it. In fact someone one said to me at the end of the day, i don't know how you're still smiling and pleasant. Ah well, almost bed time and then time to get up again.

Have a happy weekend everyone x

When winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Getting towards daffodil planting season. :D May sleep through it the way I feel this morning.

I wish they did'nt have such a short season, but you're not supposed to wish your life away.

I heard the four seasons, ( vivaldi ), yesterday. Its a been a long, long time since i listened to music. I've almost completely cut it out of my life, now. I've bumped into a few of my colleagues from the music world, recently, and they have all asked, when are you coming back? you must. Hummmmph
