Branston beans are often on offer at Morrisons I stock up on those inc the Brown sauce

I sent them an email, I get sick of companies like Heinz and Nestle that can walk all over people, close factories and relocate else where.

I am also boycotting Heinz for this reason, but I might take advantage of this promotion because it will be costing Heinz money! It won't make me buy any Heinz products in future, which is presumably what they're hoping.

Good for you in boycotting them by the way, nice to meet someone else who is bothering. BOYCOTT HEINZ!

And let them know you're doing it and why by dropping them a line at http://www.heinz.co.uk/content/talk_to_us.aspx - only takes a minute!

Same here - It'll be a cold day in hell before I spend any of my money on Heinz products :snow_laug

please do this, I have worked for heinz for 25 years and all they have done is to try and cut the t & c down for there employees
all they do is make massive profits then look for cutbacks
its a stupid idea anyway, buy a tin for 8p and change it for a dear Heinz one????
  • The Branston ones are the first beans I have ever actually raved about. Will Join the boycott of Heinz but stitch them up with swapping cheapos for theirs if I get the chance.

Contrary to Martin's email, you're not making 29p a can, but spending 8p (or whatever) per can. If you're going to buy some beans anyway, it's obviously a good deal, but there's nothing to be made from it.

By pure coincidence, I'll be at one of the sites on the day, so I'll probably pick up a few from Aldi or the like on the way. The £1 or so saved should cover the cost of parking for a bit.

I also agree with Thrifty. You would be throwing away perfectly good food, potentially indirectly harming the environment by letting Heinz dump thousands of cans, for an indiscrimate substitute product! We all know Heinz beans are the same as any other beans.
I won't take part in this unless I know that the beans I give to Heinz will not just be dumped. There is far too much wasted food as it is.

I would not swap my Tesco beans for Heinz anyway, I think Heinz lost the plot and market share some time ago to the likes of Branston and now Tesco.

They have got to complacent with their market position as leader and now it has slipped away.
