Eating every four hours while you are awake is the best advice I ever got. You need to have a small portion but apparently it keeps you blood sugar stable. When your blood sugar is stable you are not hungry.0

Hi I'm trying to lose a bit (ok a lot but I'll settle for a bit) of weight and have a weightloss buddy, SaryMclary, we email each other daily to let know progress and I can highly recommend this support as a cheap/free way to try to lose some weight.
Just the fact that we go through similar experiences is both helpful and, in my case, really good at keeping me on track. I'm trying to follow the Slimming world plan, done it before and lost loads.
I'd recommend that people try to find a buddy system or actively support each other on here to keep the motivation going. Maybe we could add in there a bit of motivational talk/advice or a daily tip, just keeps your interest up and motivation going.
My tip today is to cut out snacks completely and use semi skimmed milk rather than full fat.
Good luck everyone, big wave to you all, Cheers TrikerDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Id be interested in joining this too would like to lose about a stone too as ive recently gone up a dress size and its costing me too much in new bigger size clothes !! :rotfl: I also have a back problem and im sure being even a little less overweight will ease some the pain some....
I was looking at joining slimming world online.. but its too expensive!! Just cant justify it.... so im made up to find this thread. Didnt we have one "debtfree + fatfree wannabes" going too??
Will have to borrow some scales though as im not sure exactly what i weigh at the moment!0 -
just read this thread seems to be full of good ideas; maybe we should try to put the £5 a week we save in a new pot "the Slimmer me wannabe piggy bank" instead.
diets often fail as we get bored and then think i'll just break it for a day; I find i'm ok for 2-3 days then boredom sets in and it is very hard to keep going; commercial weight loss clubs use psychological motivation to overcome that.TH0 -
Hi
I have lost over half a stone, now down to 8st 6lb, all I did was have Quaker Oats for breakfast, then for dinner and tea had a massive salad.
If I wanted a packet of crisps I would.
Oh, I do the salad thing Mon-Fri and at week-ends I eat what I want.
I now need to combine exercising to get rid of the extras.NEVER REGRET ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU SMILE:D
