my finances as requested , well the past five years have been on disabilaty living allowance , have number of court judgments against me for insurances not paying out on the out standing balances not being payed , my home has a possetion order against it, and my bank is all ways in the over draft, as was mentioned ,when i phone the help line about the claim and my finances and my poor wrighting skills , there was no mention of how and were the fees were to come from , and as pointed out buy another member of your company, the way my finances are it would have to come from my pocket , when in the first instance the person selling your product sould have told me this and explain , rather than just telling me all is good and just fill out the forms the way he wanted .
now we have the prob i wil not sign anymore forms as i cant trust you and no moneys will be won so now stale mate ,you are asking for me to pay over a £1000 befor any money or case has been won, and as yet i have not received any moneys or the third party's, at this point im am seeking legal addvice for miss leading info on your part, and checking on the forums this is not the first time you have done this , if all fails and i still have to pay, then this will be delt with by the CAB and on my debt plan , but at this time , im am waiting for a apointment for CAB to run through this too see were i stand , hope this mater can be resolved as have no job and registerd disabled and living on state benifits.
Please could all contact be made by post as then i have a record and can be presented to the CAB many thanks ..

the money is there if i sign some more forms , but i dont want to , just dont trust them , after missleading me into this problem and to find afterwards that because im in dedt that all funds will be given back to the creditor so fees for them has to come out of my pocket and i just dont have it, this was explained to them over the phone while they helped to fill in the forms .. just wished i had nothing to do with them .
it's making me feel ill and depression is so overwelming , oh well this is what happens when you have a accident at work and the insurances dont pay your loans and credit cards ..
jb still hanging in there :rotfl:but going nuts slowly..0 -

Stick in there, dont give up!
I am going to copy and paste a story i read every time i get down... i have been in all sorts of debt problems, some that are worthy of a book, lol... please read it, and trust it!
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand - "Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition."0 -
Another IFA has posted information elsewhere on an IFA board saying they have a fraudulent complaint as well. copied and pasted below and added some context (including the IFA comments) -
He is obviously rejecting the complaint.
This one was for a for a client who did take out a Paymentshield ASU in 2006. Usual drivel, i.e. client states the adviser said she couldn't have mortgage if she didn't have the ASU policy (considering only about 15% of all our mortgage sales had an ASU sold alongside may suggest otherwise), adviser did not ask me about any pre-existing medical conditions (not on the application form to ask), I had savings to cover my mortgage payments if I was off work (that'll explain why she also had £5k on credit cards when the mortgage was done then!), etc etc etc!!
I think its about time that some regulatory body started to consider whether these companies should be investigated for fraud or even the consumers that use them. Surely when you lie about things to obtain money from another party then that must be considered fraud.
I know this site too often promotes claims but there are innocent parties here suffering. Some could go out of business or lose their jobs. So, when you see the "nothing to lose" comment, just remember that with small firms that there is someone losing out.
If you have a valid complaint then make it. However, if you are trying it on then shame on you. You are the claims culture scum that needs eradicating and I hope someone in future is able to claim something against you so you know what if feels like.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. I have used Belmont Thornton to claim back some charges.
I still had a loan with the company i claimed from, and they took the money straight off what i owed them.
Because the charges were claimed back using belmont thornton, i have to pay them a fee, even though i didn`t see none of the charges i`d won back.
I am with a debt management plan, so this is just another debt i`ve got.
No where on their forms does it say that the money you win, may not be given back to you and used to pay off any debt owed. Thanks for everyones usefull post`s:T0 -

What do your terms and condtions actually state? Often they say something like "any compensation you receive" meaning in the hand or taken from what you owe!!!
I bet some have had to ask for loans again to pay the claims management companies.0 -

if you signed a contract with them of which they were providing you with a service for a fee, then yes.0 -
Has anyone got a copy of the Ts & Cs this company issued them? I have a letter from them to a relative which states they take 25% + VAT of the refund amount. My relative should never have got involved with them given the ease of doing this via me or a friend, but water under the bridge now... I agree, if there is a clear agreement, my relative has to part with 25% + VAT (rate not specified of course lol... they are a bit useless aren't they!) however, if there is a way out of it then they can take a hike in my view0

I had a claim in with Belmont Thornton over a year ago for a couple of cards that I had. They used to send regular update ltrs saying they were still looking into claim. This year I was contacted by anothr company (had totally forgot about B.T) who, within 3 months put my claims in, won them & paid out, on 23rd Sept I recd a ltr frm Belmont saying that they were succesful in one of the claims, when I rang to ask hownmuch they said they werent sure if the amount (????), I advised them I had already been paid out, the man was extremely rude & demanded a termination fee, when I asked how much that was, he snapped that he didnt know, I asked him to put this is writing, he said only when I send him my claim ltr frm the ther other company, he said that they had put a lot of work into working on this claim...not sure why it took them frm last year when another company did it in 3 mths!! SHAM springs to mind!!!0
