Very cheap shabby esque bedding from argos - they also have it in single, king size and super king. It might be a bit bold for some but it is a true bargain.

  • Argos have some beautiful bedding in at the moment - my favourites for shabby chic-ness are Vintage Rose and Grace Floral. BHS also have their Amelia set which I love.
  • i am a shabby chic virgin:D and i have an ugly dark brown high cabinet..bit like a dresser but not as wide....i hate it with a passion but as OH got it for next to nothing he loves it!!
so i've decided it would look ok if i painted it a white/cream..replaced the door handles and replaced the leaded glass with fabric:D

i've been reading the posts on this thread, but just wanted to check what KIND of paint to use? i.e. matt/emulsion/gloss/eggshell etc?....i've not painted furniture for about 20 years so bit out of date!

    thanks:)
    totally a tog!:D
  • I use eggshell - nice sheen, but not as shiny as gloss.
  • Im gutted, i was all excited for painting my kitchen cupboards and today i found out im not allowed :( Its stipulated in my tennancy agreement!
