Those all look great Maysie. Painting the fridge is a stroke of genius!
I was thinking of painting my son's cotbed, but he's almost outgrown it now so we'll be getting him a bigger bed this year.
Managed to get another kitchen cupboard done today as I had a day offpics to follow

I used the lazy method I am not sure it will last long. I made sure it was super clean and bone dry then just painted it with a roller and a small kids art paintbrush near the plastic bits. Its an eggshell paint By Earthborn called Milk Jug. It was £30 for a small tin so wanted to get my moneys worth. I did about 2- 3 coats and did manage to chip it a bit but it seemed to go rock solid after a week and no more has chipped. Next time I use it I will touch up again.0

Actually I have been toying with the idea of lining all my cupboards and the fridge with cellophane wrap so if it gets mucky its easy to pull out and throw. I have this huge roll from 3 years ago and I am not halfway though. I saw it on pintrest. Has anyone seen this or has had a go? My wrap is clear with white spots. Maybe use glue dots to keep it in place nicely as well.0

I've never heard of tempered glass, uknurse. I can see I'll have to do my homework online while I'm doing my projects.

I've been looking for some new bedding as ours is so old and tatty, and found some really nice sets on BHS.co.uk! They have some sales on at the moment too..particularly liked this set and its 50% off at the moment!

This isn't a strictly Shabby Chic question but please can I pick your brains? I have a small 11' x 11' north facing room that I want to use as an adult only sitting room BUT I just can't think of a colour/colours that would be light and cosy (and I'm not even sure of the need for 'light' either)! I will be doing up some furniture to match afterwards so the scheme doesn't have to take anything into consideration except the above.
I would really appreciate your help. Thank you.0 -

That is lovely. Its very similar style to the one on my daughters bed. The bedspread on hers is from asda.0 -

How about this kind of palette of colours? I think pale biscuit/fawn colours are lovely and calming, whilst still light enough in shade to create space. I think pale duck egg blues work well too, so you could accessorise with duck egg blue cushions/furnishings maybe?

We have two tone pale beige colours in our hallway, darker underneath the dado rail and lighter above, and it helps to lighten up what is a fairly dark space with no direct natural light.
I'd also suggest painting the ceiling white or a lighter shade to help create additional ceiling height and to help bounce light around the room.
Hope this helpsMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
