They are really beautiful Emma Kate, it will look more like a £5K kitchen in the end, for a few hundred.
You are very talented! :T:j0 -
Thanks Toozie but if I can do it, anyone can! The most important thing is knowing the right products to use.
I have done some small bits like a rocker, chest of drawer & bookshelves.
It's time with me really, I work 4 long days, and hubby sometimes works long erratic hours.
Finally got rid (only joking!!!) of 23 year old daughter-who has qualified as a nurse and got a job, so she's gone to stand on her own two feet (for time being anyway!!)
I'm looking for an old solid wood desk with drawers on both sides to paint for my new hobby room (daughters bedroom!!!)
Have my eye on one on ebay locally-so hopefully I'll get it, and paint it egg shell for hard wearingness!!
Keep up with the painting-hope you're not into football-or you might be distracted for some weeks shortly!!:j0 -
I'd love a hobby room. My little girl is seven so that's a long way off.
The footie will be no distraction for me!0 -

Hi everyone, all your items look amazing.
I am looking for a bit of advice, I have an old cheap (argos) shoe cabinet, i have no idea what it is made of, very plasticy looking wood and woodchip I would guess at?
Is there anything I can do to improve it, I was thinking of painting but not sure it would stick to the surface. Any help would be marvelous, thankyou xJune GC Budget - 310/400
