Yes that is the correct one. Thanks0 -
Makes you wonder why it ends up in poundland though. The Polycell one isn't the same as ESP. The instructions for use are different. Anyone tried either of these?0

I went and had a look at this International wipe on wipe off primer, and found it. But the instructions on the can were slightly alarming - cloths that have been used with it may *spontaneously combust* apparently !! only to be used with solvent based paint too, no good with water based..so I left it..did get a tin of radiator primer for a £1 though.M.A.C.A.W member number 39

Thanks Pipkin. I may have a tin in the shed. I'd better have a look at it later. :eek:OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Hello ladies & gents
I have eventually found my large old desk!
I love it! :j
I ordered ESP from ebay, have sanded the top to within an inch of it's life, and I'm going to wax later.
Luckily the top comes away from the base.
ESP today on the drawer fronts to the left & right, and I have just given them all 2 coats of cream eggshell.
The question I have for you lovely people is that I have 7 brass handles-quite a nice plain shape-grab type handles.
I would like to "age" them...well make them look tarnished all over.......pewter..ish.
I don't really want the expense and bother of finding new handles which fit into the 2 holes in each drawer front, so I want to do something to the ones I've taken off.
Have read about soaking in brown vinegar, would this work? How long for?
Do I just leave to dry naturally after?
Any ideas gratefully appreciated?
Thank you
