What a bargain. It is lovely. My son recently bought a pine chest of drawers and painted it with home made chalk paint and it looks lovely.

Hi Cacran have you shared your home made chalk paint recipe on here anywhere. I've got a few bits to paint and am dithering what to use. I have used B&Q everywhere on woodwork before but like the look of chalk paint too.

    Thank you :)

I am not as good as you guys but I do love to personalise my bits.

This was my project this weekend, a telephone table make over.

I used a satin wood which is perfect for how I wanted it to be.

I need to paint in some varnish etc to make sure it lasts.

    Hope you like it x

  • Compared to your old shoe storage cupboard, does the set of drawers hold more, less or the same amount of shoes?

Having seen your piccies, it's got me thinking maybe drawers would solve my shoe storage problem. I have been looking at bedding boxes, but don't like the idea of the shoes then just being chucked in, whereas in a drawer they could be placed in, in a pair.

Some lovely things on here. I have painted a couple of dressers which looked fab, but wondered whether you all paint inside drawers, cupboards etc ?

    Some lovely upcycles on here.
I have not been painting but finished some sewing - does it count as shabby chic?
