Hi, I've been restoring/repurposing furniture for years now but thought I'd try using wallpaper inside the drawers of my next project. Does anyone have any recommendations on what sort of glue to use please? I'm thinking a spray adhesive or decoupage glue but not sure if it would work.
I tried to line a large wooden box with self stick lino tiles, and it didn't work. I think the wood has to be primed or treated in some way first.
I line drawers with wallpaper and just lie it in loose, it flattens out with the weight of my junk.0 -

I was wondering if anyone could think of something a bit more shabby chic than post it's? I'd rather it wasn't permanent if possible. They are cream painted wooden drawers with pine handles.
I guess I could use pinking shears and pretty paper but still don't know how to stick them on. (Post it's keep falling off).
Any ideas at all would be gratefully received. =QUOTE]

chalkysoil - can't wait to see what you do with the wardrobe, it really is a lovely thing.
I bought this today, it cost me a whole £10. Not sure what to do with it though, it has a few dents and scratches on the top. I think I might like to paint it but not sure what colour - do you think an off white would suit it?

Have been reading this thread for a while now and getting lots of hints and need some advice. Have made some bunting with airdry clay and now want to paint them, do you how I seal them? If paint will it make them soft?
Thought would be easier than sewing(because cant sew) now not so sure.

I'd guess people use acrylic paint, but have a look on here..

I discovered the best way yet to make quick bunting for the garden.
I used leftover oil cloth again but this time I crocheted them together which meant no slip together on the chain!!!!
Garden is beginning to feel ready for outdoors entertaining soon.
ALL the bunting is gonna be replaced with crocheted triangles eventually as the ones that I made that have hung outside since last summer are still looking lovely after a machine wash

Hope this picture works! Have had this dresser hanging around for nearly a year now! Took off the top half as we have nowhere for a full height dresser to go, painted it up and stuck some sanded scaffolding boards to the top. Now it is our new tv unitOnly fail on our behalf was not checking that the electrical bits we wanted to fit in the top section would fit! So they are now living in the cupboard below!
